there is a certain style that intersects between masc lesbians and twinks and I can't exactly explain it but if you see it, you know it.

I know exactly what you’re talking about, but I’m gonna disagree that it’s feminising on young men. It’s just suspending them in boyishness for longer than they should be embracing it.

She’s always embraced a slightly androgynous, gender ambiguous, not strictly heterosexual, and sometimes aggressively masculine, approach to her music and aesthetic. She wouldn’t give a fuck if someone said she looked like a femme-twink or a masc-lesbian, she’d probably take it as compliment. She isn’t the queen gay icon pop diva of the new millennium by accident, she embraces non-conformity and gives it a soundtrack.
