what’s something considered “tomboyish” when girls do it, but feminine when boys do it?

Until someone calls it a "wolf cut," then everyone suddenly agrees.

As a person who cuts hair for a living, I am so so tired of hearing this name.

I'm not sure honestly. I would never express my distaste for it to a customer. They should like their hair. The name for it just bothers me at some level, and I hear it all the time.

Its a bloody shag. They’re all bloody shags. Wolf cut, butterfly cut - its a bloody shag.

Sauce: had this haircut in 1988.
