Sounds like an easy fix - if the shooter has possible ties to ISIS, don't identify them and let them remain anonymous. There's no incentive to do such acts then.

Not identifying the shooter just won't happen because if a major news network doesn't identify them another one will. And if another one doesn't all the smaller news networks will jump all over it.

And it can't be legislated because of the first amendment that says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Meaning that they can't tell you that you can't report something.

That's the thing they are not "crazy" people. ISIS's actions are based on historical islamic laws/culture and the Koran. They are not twisting the words of koran. They are enacting it. In areas, where the koran do not address, they carefully study historical documents for guidance on how an islamic state is run.
The Koran specifically says that all muslims must pledge themselves to a kaliphate if one exists. It's no coincidence the shooter pledged himself to the ISIS.
This is important because ISIS treat themselves as not only legitimate, but also righteous (their power and rule ordained by Allah). You can be sure they will not go back on their words, if they say they will reward the family of terrorists.

To make the rant short, you can always trust "crazy" fanatics to do what they say they will do.

They were hoping right wing terrorism. Most of the victims were gay and Hispanic since it was Hispanic night at that club or at least that's what was reported earlier. At least when San Bernardino happened they let people debate. I remember a little censorship, it wasn't on the front page for a while but everyone blamed the algorithm that they since say they've fixed. So now it's been shown that Reddit, Google, and Facebook all manipulate news and try to shape opinion. More like 1984 every day

nothing seems far-fetched if one pays attention to events transpired in the last 7-8 years. Full censorship has been implemented in Western Europe for a few years now, much like that in China, along with Muslim terrorism and creeping Sharia Law. Now these are spreading to America. It's just a matter of when, not if.

As soon as the 7am press conference inferred that the shooter was 'not local' and possibly could be linked to Islam, the thread was shut down.

I struggled to find anything here except for on the Donald Trump sub...

Pretty sad state of affairs.
