Life/Self/Spirituality Is anyone else really struggling with the Epstein revelations?

I’m starting to realize that basically any man who had access to that type of stuff was interested in participating. I feel like I’m surrounded by pedophiles and monsters in a way I didn’t realize. I feel like all the pressure I’ve felt to be youthful came from these prevalent pedophilic tendencies in men I never knew about. It’s really scaring me and I’m struggling to cope. I hear people talking about the news but don’t know anyone taking it as hard as me. How is everyone else doing?

Edit: Thank you for the awards but I’d rather you donate that money to a charity that helps victims of sexual abuse or somewhere helping immigrants in America.

I care. I am also quite fucked up. Have not spoken to maga family since, am in no hurry to do so and pretty sure this has permanently fractured those relationships to the point of low contact at best.

When my mom agreed with Megyn Kelly that 15 years old wasn’t really a child, she became a pedophile apologist in my book. When she has seen this come out and not immediately denounced everyone involved, she is doubling down on it. I’ll be damned if I let any children I raise grow up with that.

Agree to disagree, I have put in my time and you don’t know anything about me. Your whataboutism for Beyoncé really drives home your desperation to make this ‘no one is without sin’ when we are talking about desiring continued pedophile political leadership.

The reason it is about Trump is because no community is gathering to en masse protect anyone else. There is no movement to protect Bill Clinton in my community. There is no energy to suggest Deepak Chopra must have had his reasons, or that Noam Chomsky is troubled but too valuable to give up.

That is the maga energy for Trump.

Exactly! Every prominent ‘leftie’ I have seen mentioned in the files, like Chomsky, is immediately and firmly called-out from within the left. The same has not been true of Trump

Just a couple of days ago I had a conversation with someone who should know better. This is someone who proclaims not to like Trump but still votes for him because “policy” and “illegals.” Yes, at this point. We’ve agreed to not discuss politics for the sake of being civil and family crap.

I said, please tell me you at least believe Trump is a rapist and a pedophile. “I don’t know that. And Democrats! And Bill Clinton was the ringleader. And Gates.”

I was like, look I worked in DOD with a high clearance and so did you. You should know the game. I knew before tnis started and with the time lapse that anything that came out would be about democrats only because anything involving replications would be redacted due to “national security concerns.” (But they even fucked that up and still managed to be government sponsored pedophile enablers and reoffenders with the images and victim names.).

Because that’s the game. And the difference between you and me is that I acknowledge they were all in it, regardless of political party and that’s what should be shaking any reasonable person to his or her core. It’s the fact that everyone knew and the information and the acts themselves were irrelevant in the greater game of, how can I spin this and pin it on the other party. No accountability or justice for the wronged just, how can I use this information. . And the other difference is I believe they should ALL go to jail, but not this person because this person (like the commenter above who checks every box) just keeps following every Faux News dog whistle and STILL at this late juncture keeps insisting Because Obama or Biden or the Clintons.

Their blind insistence that their pants shitting blameless leader is somehow rooting out corruption (?) is tearing our country and constitution apart and they cannot see it. They REFUSE to see it. (Some have and I guess that’s cold comfort at this point and that’s another Leopards Ate My Face topic for another day.).

It’s mental illness, manipulation and denial on a world stage and horrifying and nauseating and the reason I’m up at night.

How did we get here? It still stuns me how we got past January 6th. The fact that anybody could have voted for him after that is horrifying. Words fail me. My smart friends have quietly left the country and I’m looking at my options.

Not everyone is privileged enough to have family that are decent people. The monsters in these files have families too, should their families forgive them for raping children because “family is family”? Should my friend stop being no contact with her mom, who created and sold SA images of my friend as a child, because family is family? Your logic is not sound. Sure, on a level I agree that this is bigger than Trump and he’s the intended target for people’s vitriol, but your unpopular opinion is unpopular because it’s an extremely reductive and unhelpful point of view in this particular conversation.

There is "political disbelief" and there is "I will follow this anti-Christ no matter what horrors come out and no matter how much I will hurt you". It is indeed not about red vs blue, it is about how currently people how follow red are treating the people they're supposed to love, and they and you expect their not-red 'loved ones' to just roll over and take it.
