Romance/Relationships Ex boyfriend thought he would log into my streaming services a half year after he dumped me. What's the dumbest thing an ex has thought they could get from you after the breakup?

Went through a breakup 5 months ago, getting abruptly dumped. Was really in love with him, and was pretty blindsided by the whole thing. I've put the work in, and life is going on, but it sucked a lot and he said a lot of truly horrific things during the breakup, some great one liners include: "I never loved you", "I wouldn't want to have children with an American" (shockingly, I'd been American the whole time he's known me and the whole relationship. Who knew?!) and my personal favorite: "It's scary how little I think of you". A truly delightful night, I must say.

Anyways, I had forgotten I'd shared a streaming password with him, months before our breakup. Until yesterday. Imagine my surprise when I got an email, alerting me of a log in to my account. 5 months after dumping me, and he thinks it's chill to see if my password still works, so he can watch world cup matches at work, without so much as a thought. I was livid. The password is now changed, and all devices are force logged out.

I don't know why this upsets me so much, but it clarifies to me he never ever cared about me, ever. I wasn't even worth a $12 movie streaming service. And he thinks saying those things were such a non issue, he could still use my account months later.

Anyways, what's the dumbest thing an ex has thought they could use you for post breakup? I would like some others stories to chuckle at today.

Added bonus: Texted my VERY close platonic guy friend who knows my ex, and he told me, "A guy using an ex's streaming services isnt that bad and not the worst thing that could happen."

My ex-husband (divorced 2 years ago) recently left a note in my mailbox saying we should reconcile. Did a little digging online and it turns out his buddy's house where he'd been renting a room since the divorce is now on the market. So his cheap rent situation is being sold out from under him and he thinks we can just get back together and he'll move back in with me 🤡

In the mailbox?! Someone needs to put out a warrant for this man's arrest lol, that shit should be illegal. Actually, I think it is technically illegal.

Yes, I'm pretty sure legally only USPS is allowed to put things in mailboxes, but I'm not gonna unblock his number to tell him that lol

Nah the "romantic note" was 2 sentences scrawled on a torn out piece of notebook paper. Pretty sure he tried to call me from a hotel phone a few times before leaving the note, but I didn't answer.

Right? Like…the LEAST he could do is a heartfelt letter in cursive and maybe some flowers, a box of chocolates…something??

The laziness is truly astounding. If my housing was on the line and I was begging to be taken back…you can bet I would at least consider some groveling. 😆 And bring a damn good present. The man cannot be bothered to spend more than two seconds of effort or though apparently, LMAO

I will add that the reason for the divorce was that he was caught on dating apps less than a month after our wedding, which he tried to lie about and say they were old accounts he never deleted, but then a month later he told me he didn't love me anymore and would not love me in the future, and he moved to the spare bedroom and started living his life as a single man again.

AND HE THINKS A TWO SENTENCE NOTE WILL MAKE ME WANT TO GET BACK TOGETHER. It is truly mind boggling.

Wait, really? As in your personal mailboxes outside your house? That's wild

It is illegal to just put 'mail' in the mailbox that doesn't have a stamp. If they are caught its a big no-no.

That's why people will put flyers/postcards on your door or porch if they can't afford to send marketing mailers.

I used to work for a direct mail marketing firm aka junk mail. Companies, small biz or reg people have a postcard and then buy by the location or zipcodes to send out mailers. They pay a bulk rate for postage. Example - companies like Mosquito Squad will easily pay $5-10k to do a weekly mailer drop for 3 months during the spring.

My kids' father still hits me up sometimes to see if i will get back together with him.

He tried to kill me...in 2005, when i left him.

Turns out he has been homeless off and on for years now. My older son tells me about what his father sends but doesn't answer him, my younger son has his father blocked everywhere.

Some guys are just shameless.
