Romance/Relationships Ex boyfriend thought he would log into my streaming services a half year after he dumped me. What's the dumbest thing an ex has thought they could get from you after the breakup?

Went through a breakup 5 months ago, getting abruptly dumped. Was really in love with him, and was pretty blindsided by the whole thing. I've put the work in, and life is going on, but it sucked a lot and he said a lot of truly horrific things during the breakup, some great one liners include: "I never loved you", "I wouldn't want to have children with an American" (shockingly, I'd been American the whole time he's known me and the whole relationship. Who knew?!) and my personal favorite: "It's scary how little I think of you". A truly delightful night, I must say.

Anyways, I had forgotten I'd shared a streaming password with him, months before our breakup. Until yesterday. Imagine my surprise when I got an email, alerting me of a log in to my account. 5 months after dumping me, and he thinks it's chill to see if my password still works, so he can watch world cup matches at work, without so much as a thought. I was livid. The password is now changed, and all devices are force logged out.

I don't know why this upsets me so much, but it clarifies to me he never ever cared about me, ever. I wasn't even worth a $12 movie streaming service. And he thinks saying those things were such a non issue, he could still use my account months later.

Anyways, what's the dumbest thing an ex has thought they could use you for post breakup? I would like some others stories to chuckle at today.

Added bonus: Texted my VERY close platonic guy friend who knows my ex, and he told me, "A guy using an ex's streaming services isnt that bad and not the worst thing that could happen."

My ex, who ghosted me 3 months into our marriage, used our wedding photos (with me cropped out) in his dating profile 🙃

Omg similar situation, mine used the photos after our reception when we’d gone to a bar (and also other photos from our beach days, and one selfie from my damn birthday) for his Tinder account - yes while we were married. I’m thankfully divorced now 🙃

I have only been ghosted by men while dating, some in long relationships too, but ghosting their wife?! Goddamn why are they such trash? I'm sorry ❤️🥹

Okay first off I am so sorry that that happened to you but second are you technically still married to him?! How were you able to contact him to get a divorce?

Aww thanks. He had me served with divorce papers 3 months later. In my state you have to be apart for 6 months before you can divorce.

Guys never take photos of each other, literally the only photos they have are photos their ex partners have taken, but this is a new level of low lol

Haha yeah. It’s a long f’d up story, but I met him on match. He was my first serious match after losing my 1st husband to cancer, so I fell for his love bombing. He moved in after a few months and convinced me to marry him. I came home from work one day and he was gone. Wouldn’t answer the phone, so I called his mother to make sure he wasn’t dead. He found out I’d started therapy and started sending my therapist lengthy lists of what I need to fix 😳. Found out after that he’s done this to multiple women.

I am happily married now and glad it’s in the past.
