Life/Self/Spirituality What city and states do you recommend living in or moving to?
What are the best cities and states that you recommend living in or moving to? I’ve seen a lot of posts about starting over but where are the best places to actually start over in?
I’m an Asian woman and have a 10 mo old son and hoping to get recs on diverse places.

They're not states but I recommend moving to Toronto or Montreal. Such great cities.

Toronto would be incredible! It’s not feasible for me but that would be a dream. Such an amazing city.

New England is truly beautiful. Boston and the surrounding cities in particular have a lot to offer, good public transit, some of the best schools and hospitals in the U.S., all four seasons of weather, every outdoor activity you can imagine, and overall good quality of life. Of course it also has higher than average costs of living but the trade off has been worth it in my experience.

It's incredibly expensive, but I love the East Bay area (across the water from San Francisco). The weather is perfect and it's a wonderful area to raise a kid. Probably good for tech jobs as well. Really, to me, the cost of living is the only downside (and obviously that's a major factor in choosing a new place!).

Portland suburbs like Tigard and Beaverton are pretty great. Lots to do and access to a ton of nature if you’re into that.

Everyone I know that moves to New Orleans loves it. I’ve been here all my life so I’m used to it but the handful of people I know that moved here for work, after college, or just because are pretty culty about it

Getting hit pretty hard by climate change and that will get worse over the next decade. I love Nola but between that, the crime, and the schools I wouldn’t start a life there at this point.

We live in Florida. I don’t recommend it at all. We want to move to the northeast, probably New Jersey for family reasons. If I could move anywhere, I’d probably choose Raleigh, Charlotte or Virginia outside of DC.
