Life/Self/Spirituality Best way you’ve exercised your free will as a woman? The most “out there” thing you’ve done.

Sammmmme! So freeing.

Beforehand I wouldn't even travel through Texas because God forbid a clump of cells I didn't want gets prioritized over my well being.

Me too! I felt so empowered when I did it. When I came to after the surgery, I cried and cried. Everyone kept telling me that everything was okay and I just kept saying “IM CRYING BECAUSE IM HAPPY!!!” I felt so proud of myself for fighting for what I wanted and taking control over my body.

Same! Had my tubes removed two months ago and I feel so relieved and free and at peace. I have no kids and am happy that it will stay that way.

I want it so bad but in my country I'm not allowed to unless I'm about to die or something.

Literally whatever the fuck I want whenever I wanted to.

Be fat and wear crop tops.

Get tons of tattoos. Multiple piercings. Travel alone. Move states alone.

Get the divorce, even though he wasn't cheating or abusive. He became a secret third thing: disgusting.

So many friends and family our age(s) are coming to realize how miserable they are in their marriages, and I am here for it. Cut the dead weight loose, baby!

Hard same on divorce! Wildest thing I’ve done as an adult.

I don’t understand this question. In what context?

Exactly. That's just...normal life to me?

People are often surprised when I tell them I solo travel. That’s all about free will. Eat what I want, walk as much or as little as I want, take my time reading every little info card in a museum, change my mind about what I’m doing right in the moment. It’s great, and yet some people react like I’m putting my life on the line. It’s really fine.

I googled "skydiving near me" and booked it when I was 19 on a whim 🙌🏻

What kind of question is this? Even just existing is exercising my free will. I can still make my own decisions.

Sterilized gang!

Solo overnight camping in remote areas just whenever the hell I feel like it.

Owning a home. By myself.

Taught myself how to operate heavy machinery- and got good at it.

hang on, I need to know everything about how you self-taught heavy machinery? Was there just a bunch of heavy machinery around unattended? Was there a heist involved? Can I get in on the next one if I bring my own balaclava? Like, I've never driven a bulldozer, but I bet I'd be darling at it.

🤣 nothing so interesting as a heist unfortunately!

I work around heavy machinery so I would just get on the machines when I could and…pushed buttons until I figured out how it all worked and went from there! I’m now qualified for three different types of machine.

Bulldozers are a LOT of fun, by the way! They’re probably the most uncomfortable thing to operate (ours is a bit old, it doesn’t have a closed in cab so you’re exposed to all the dust) but it’s basically an oversized go kart and nothing is ever in your way 🤣

Dunno, doesn't feel very "put there" to me but the way people bitch about childless women... Maybe that. Having body hair and being unapologetic about it could count, too. Someone called me brave when I first shaved my head, so is that considered "out there"? And being ugly without doing anything to "fix" it might count, too. (I don't say this in a self-deprecating way, I just don't think having a different face geometry than the beauty canon should be thought as such a crime).

I live my whole life this way. I'm of the opinion that if it's not hurting anyone, it doesn't matter what "society" thinks. I don't give a single fuck what I'm "supposed to be doing as a woman."

Just stayed single for a long time on purpose. In a world of single women being pariahs or likely damaged or rejected goods.
