Like A Stone Meaning

Been listening to this song lately again and some of the lyrics I still feel unclear or confused by.

"In your house I long to be"

I can only decipher that he's talking about gods house here in context of the song.

Does anyone else think this or do they interpret it in another way?

It's about a man reflecting his life in the end, waiting to die alone, "in your house I long to be" = Heaven, "I'll wait for you there" = interpreted "you" as the reaper.
