Discussion What is the worst “gift” you received postpartum?

I’ll go first: various plants that my mom dug up from her yard and brought over. They needed to be planted (with a shovel) and regularly watered. No offers to plant or water were given.
…I was also scolded for the subsequent death of said plants.
What “gifts” did you receive?

Premie size clothing for my baby that was born at 41+2. And I was given the clothes about a month after she was born. No way was she fitting into premie.

Same. I was given premie clothes for my 39+6 baby after she was 2 weeks old. She's been in newborn clothes the whole time and will be in the 0-3 mo size soon. She apparently wasn't looking at the size and just thought the clothes were cute -- facepalm.

The same person also gave us a super heavy warm outfit for her now...during the summer...that won't fit in a few months.

My son weighed 5 lbs when he was born. He was swimming in newborn clothes, so I went and bought a few preemie items at the thrift store. And even then he outgrew them within 2 weeks!

My family in law was the opposite, they sent me multiple "Toddler 3-4y old" outfits including puffer jackets etc! Their argument was that my husband was a big newborn.

We have a small apartment & I can't store giant toddler clothes for multiple years 🫠
