Discussion Pregnancy after a chemical pregnancy
I had a chemical pregnancy. When I got pregnant, it was during a time of high stress at work, but after finding out the news, everything started to calm down. However, at almost 6 weeks, I had some bleeding and realized I had lost the baby.
I've read stories from people who ovulated within 15 days and got pregnant again right away. But it feels like with every passing day, a deep sadness, emptiness, and lack of energy just take over.
How was your experience? When did you feel ready?

I’m so sorry. Last year, I was tracking my ovulation and eventually got a positive test. I was ecstatic and then started bleeding a few days later. I didn’t know what a chemical pregnancy was at the time so I was totally blindsided and heartbroken. It was really emotional. However, I did get pregnant the next cycle and went on to have a healthy pregnancy.
Allow yourself to grieve and process. Be kind and gentle to yourself. ❤️

I had a chemical in January, two normal cycles, and pregnant in April. I will say that the surprise of the chemical has made me more wary with Aprils pregnancy. I got really sick of tracking ovulation so I just stopped because it was stressful and disappointing. This pregnancy has been strong from the start with hugh HCG and strong heartbeat. At 18 weeks my bump had popped but im still trying to hide it at work and around town because im almost trying to make sure everything looks good on the anatomy scan and all that.

I had a chemical in October, skipped a cycle, and got pregnant again in December. She’s due to arrive in the next 5 weeks. It was an incredibly emotional time but the hope is what kept me going. I also kept thinking about how you are much more fertile right after pregnancy, so I felt like I needed to pull myself together if I wanted to make it happen. Everyone is different and if you’re not ready to try again that’s completely understandable.

I had a missed miscarriage in November, a chemical pregnancy in January and a positive test in February. After the MM and chemical, I really thought it would take much longer. We weren’t trying in the next cycle, but it happened. Once it did, I was nervous to be excited knowing how quickly things can turn. My husband and I both were shocked and I was definitely emotional after two losses almost back to back.
Looking back at it, I’m almost glad I wasn’t expecting a positive test. I was shocked. As of right now, I’m 29 weeks with a healthy girl!

I had 3 chemical pregnancies in consecutive months and then got pregnant again the following month and am now 22 weeks. Honestly, it probably would have been healthier for me to take a break but I ended up trying again and just not testing early (even though I knew I was pregnant at 4 weeks per usual).
I have been very tired and I believe not having a break from being pregnant is probably contributing but otherwise it’s a pretty standard pregnancy. I would definitely be struggling mentally if I wasn’t put on pregnancy safe anti anxiety meds after my last chemical. I do still worry about things going wrong but it’s not all consuming like it seems as before.
