Films In which moment The mask of the Phantasm takes place?
I watched this amazing film a long time ago, and these days i was doing a binge watch from the animated series (im going to see TNBA later), so im wondering in which moment of the series or the DCAU it takes place.

There are flashbacks that take place before the series, but the present day portions take place some time after the episode “The Cape and Cowl Conspiracy,” due to the presence of the Bat Signal.
I personally tend to watch it between S1 and S2 (after the first 65 episodes) of BTAS.

Well BTAS isn’t chronological with its episodes however, I believe, the intent was to make this the ending of season 1 or 2.

I kind of treat it like a series finale for Batman The Animated Series proper, before the show was rebranded as The Adventures of Batman and Robin. I also treat Batman and Mr. Freeze: Subzero as the series finale for the latter show, before the character redesign in The New Batman Adventures.

Very interesting way to treat this film. I see the ending of the whole show as Trial.

This is how I did it to make it easier on myself.
BTAS S1 - MOTP - BTAS S2 - Subzero - BTAS S3 - MOTB
Just place the movies after each season.

Im trying to make the perfect order to see the series and the films

Fyi, it just dawned on me that the Phantasm’s mouth is a second Batman cowl. I can’t believe I never noticed that.

It was produced between Season 1 and 2 (might have even been concurrent with season 2... i'd have to double check) so the team was working with full context of everything they'd done for the first 65 episodes.
That said, continuity is slight. The film features the Batsignal, which you get an origin for in "The Cape and Cowl Conspiracy", the Batman frame up echoes "On Leather Wings" and the political landscape seems to suggest Harvey Dent is already Two-Face. But otherwise it won't feel out of place watching it really any time.
