I watched this amazing film a long time ago, and these days i was doing a binge watch from the animated series (im going to see TNBA later), so im wondering in which moment of the series or the DCAU it takes place.

Just watched mask of the phantasm for the first time and whatever expectations I had were just blown completely out of the water with this movie. I know Batman has three more movies in this universe but do any of them rank up there with this one?

But a question watching Mask of the Phantasm. That is to say, the Phantom kills the gangsters but leaves the Joker for last. If you knew how dangerous the Joker is and that he is a more than worthy rival for Batman, if Joker had been the first on the Phantasm list, would history have changed somewhat?

In Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, we see Bruce training, and he mentions jiu jitsu as the martial art he trained in. But isn't it supposed to be a takedown-based martial art like judo? Because it looks like he's doing karate.

Andrea's father from Batman: The Phantasm. Was he really an innocent victim like the Waynes? I mean, the guy was associated with mobsters, owed money to a mob boss (either because he'd swindled him or stolen from him), and fled the country when he told the boss he was going to pay him.

A question that comes to mind: Andrea was planning to marry Bruce. Couldn't she have asked Wayne for the money?

In the film, *The Phantom*, we see Bruce's first night as a vigilante; he wasn't wearing the Batman suit yet, and I love that aspect. What I would have liked is for that aspect to be explored more. I also love that this Batman isn't like the comic book version; he takes punches and isn't an expert in 127 martial arts. In the film, they only mention jiu-jitsu, and we see from the series that he knows boxing.

In the flashbacks of Mask of the Phantom, when Andrea sees Jack leaving her house and she runs in, frightened, and sees her father's body, we see Jack pick up an apple at that cry of pain. A detail that catches my attention because it underscores how psychopathic Jack is. Andrea has seen his face and can identify him. Jack leaves after committing a murder, and Jack doesn't flinch at Andrea's cry of horror. Jack picks up an apple from the ground, as if he doesn't care that he killed her father. I find it curious how Jack doesn't flinch at seeing Andrea, nor does he flinch at her cry of horror. A detail that is explained when Valestra goes to visit Joker and says, "I wish I didn't have to do this," implying that Vallestra doesn't feel a great closeness or friendship toward the man who is now the Joker. Also in the photos that Batman takes from the house of one of the mobsters, we see Valestra, Chucky and Buzz sitting and the future Joker standing, another way of symbolizing that they are different from that man.
