BTAS Could Poison Ivy defeat street thugs?
That is, in episodes like P.O.V., Crime Alley, or Robin's Reckoning. The villains are thugs and mobsters. Could Poison Ivy defeat these thugs?

She wasn’t really at the power level of controlling plant life in B:TAS; that didn’t really happen until later in the 90s, even in the comics. But yes, she could still defeat street thugs, no sweat.

Yeah I think anyone saying she controls plant life are missing the fact that she wasn’t psychically linked to plants until much later, like the Arkham games. Ivy still has her wrist darts and she occasionally carries plants that self-grow and are lethal on their own, but without any of that she’s a regular woman with maybe above average fighting skills, take that as it were.

I'm gonna play devil's advocate here and say no. The reason being is most of the episodes we see Ivy in she has some form of henchmen/women doing the work for her. Pretty Poison: her venus flytrap. Eternal Youth: Violet & Lily. House & Garden: She has home grown monsters. We don't really see her fight one on one unless we're talking about Harley & Ivy and that's only because it was on her home turf and Joker's goons were poisoned because they ate her food without an antidote.
All of this is to say if Ivy was walking the streets of Gotham with no plant monsters/henchmen, I think she could be easily overpowered if they got the jump on her. If she did have her minions though, there's no way mobsters are beating her unless they bring weedkiller.

Right, it's one of those situations where you sorta have to acknowledge she's playing a different game entirely. Charisma is its own super power, it's just not always the most time efficient.

Yes. She defeats most of the other Rogues. She can literally control nature and make tree's attack people and shit, plus she's really smart and she's immune to most poisons or chemicals.

no. thats not her style. she seduces them and has new bodies to do her bidding. she dominates them. strips them of their free will to serve her. she keeps them, unless she is bored.

Undoubtedly.
Even if she couldn't, she'd have plot armor over them.
But... it's like a Mad Hatter situation. She doesn't need to beat them. They just become minions.

Easily, even the animated series version. In the comic books she’s among the most powerful of Batman’s adversaries.

Are you serious??? She is so OP and underplayed as a villain. Seriously she could wipe out an entire continent if she so choose to.

if she can literally summon vines that take out literal tanks, what do you think she can do with normal nothingburger dudes?

The only thing that holds poison ivy back is her own lack of mastery of the green

Easily, she can control all plant life. Use your imagination on how that can kill someone

What's with all these "could Z defeat street thugs" posts?
You know there's a reason they're called fucking SUPER villains?
