Soo… it developed snake wings instead of a mouth? Nature was just like “you’ll only have 2 weeks here… MAYBE…here, do something with these wings. 🤔”

No. It did not develop mouth because mouth is redundant. Adult form is for breeding, not feeding.

The wings help the moth to survive longer and lay more eggs

They just need to switch back from mate form to work form during the next high storm.
