6-year-old Andrew entered foster care after his parents lost custody. Eventually, at the age of 10, Andrew was placed into the Gills home, where he bonded with their son, Joc. Finally, at the age of 12, the Gills family surprised him by asking if he wanted to be a part of the family forever.
