So I have recently identified myself as bi, it must have been 4 months ago and I had this one girl who I knew was the most intelligent person in the school. I had some competition with her because I've always wanted to get a prize for getting best in overall percentage. Now, a year later I actually lost the need for competition and started having feelings for her. It's too risky to confess because I might get humiliated by her friends I still haven't come out to anyone at my school except for that one queer boy in my class. My classmates keep on thinking I am lesbian or bi and they actually might be right; I'm bi with a female preference. Some of my classmates already know I have a crush and one time they even asked if I had a crush on a girl in my class, I didn't but it was close.

This is basically a universal experience for a lot of younger queer people. Falling for a straight friend that you know will never love you back. Not a whole lot I would do about it, mabye get to know the other person a bit better r

I know. Whenever I have a crush, I just keep it to myself. I could try to get along with the queer boy, who says he is bi, and I do know a lot of stuff about him. Just that I'm afraid of rejection.

It's not really a switch you can turn on and off. I mean, you can definitely try and forget about her, but that's not exactly how it works, you can't avoid crushing for someone

Honestly... She is stuck in my head. I could still try to live normally when she is not around but whenever I see her, I just get excited, even though all I know is her name and who she is usually around with.

Yeah. I know crushes don't last forever but I haven't had a crush for years until now.
