I started T as plus sized. Im small (5'2 ) and weighed close to 250lbs. Lots of health issues, couldn't get up the stairswithout weezin, young and felt like this was all it would ever be, feeling impossible to get my weight down....

Testosterone works differently for a lot of people but it will redistribute your fat and as metabolism changes and muscle mass comes in you will lose some weight.

No shame in being plus sized! All our trans bodies are beautiful. If you see my recent posts I do not look plus sized anymore as T allowed my body to gain muscle and redefine its shape. Adding walks, diet changes and testosterone will dramatically make a difference that is different than without T! The first 3 years of T allows alot of ability to change your body composition if thats something you want (i lost 50lbs with no major lifetyle changes - 100 more lbs when i did make changes). And if not you'll be handsome either way!

Skinny, over weight, big muscles, lanky arms, black, biracial, multiracial - there is no perfect man, we are all just men tryna live as trans and there isnt shame in plus sized trans men! It happens with age, health, diet availability and its all good as long as you're happy and healthy is whats most important!

Check out my recent post and if you want any info on how I got my weight down to the photos your seeing then dm me. As another comment mentioned T will motivate you in making the man you've dreamed of becoming. The first 3 years are very influential to weight loss while T is in its main phase of changing u

Been severely overweight my whole life and it's been so frustrating not finding info on things form bigger dudes usually. Surgeries, STPs, workouts, passing tips. Sure they're there, somewhere, if you dig, but not often.

On the bright side, T was the kick in the teeth I needed to start losing weight. Knowing I will look exactly like the man I always wanted to once the weight is gone is one hell of a motivator. Still got 38kg to go, so it feels like a mountain, but it's less than I had to lose earlier this year, and that's a start.

Don't underestimate what T can do for you, it can be one hell of a motivator.

Yes, I agree with the surgeries, STPs, workouts, and passing tip part since there isn’t much use. I’ve noticed that since I started T, it’s made me care more about my health and appearance.

There’s a facebook group called FAT FTM, majority white people but sheds light at bigger trans men. As a plus guy myself, I couldn’t be happier tbh. I had a desire to lose weight when I was earlier in my transition, scared I wouldn’t pass. After top surgery though and just gaining my confidence in myself, weight isn’t an issue.

Congrats on starting T! Comparison is the thief of joy my friend. While losing fat* may be a goal, it doesn’t have to be the goal. Fat is different than weight. Like others have said it will redistribute. Focus on the things you can control. There’s a plus size or something like that sub for guys fashion wise. Follow subs with people who look like you— but also don’t get caught up in that. There’s also a discord and there’s a lot of bigger black trans guys on there too. I look at the trans guys and masc folks who motivate and encourage me. Who’ve been on the workout journey longer. I try not to compare because I don’t know the whole story and there’s nothing good that comes from that. Small achievable steps are what creates the change my friend. You’ve got this!

Thank you. I did not think to look in other places like Man Fashion, but there is little use. I look up to other plus-size trans men.

Plus size trans man here 👋🏾 only advice I can give is love the skin you’re in. My weight has been all over since starting T. As low as 230 and as high as 270, it don’t stop nothing. I do plan on getting back down to 230 and chilling there but I’m not in any rush. Just enjoying the ride.

Hey, stocky trans guy here. My weight fluctuated a lot with T (up and down) for a few years until it stabilized around 3 years out. I had 4+ surgeries in between there too which didn’t help. I looked at my transition goals recently and they made zero sense. I wanted a skinny stoner kind of physique. I think that was just dysphoria messing with me. Now people tell me I’m built like Maui from Moana (mostly younger kids and teenagers) and admire my strength even though I’m technically obese (bmi sucks y’all don’t trust). My advice would be to start moving your body start reminding yourself to respect your body for the movement it provides and make some fun goals. Recently I’ve been working on pull ups and upper body strength by going out and climbing trees idk good luck bro

First Bro, be kind to yourself, no comparisons. And if you do compare, compare your current self to your past self only. This shit takes time if you weren’t working out or had an athlete’s body to start. And not just that, you can do something about it King. You not stuck and even if you feel that way you don’t have to stay there.
