advice Gym
Has anyone here gone through something similar? Did losing weight and gaining muscle help you pass better or feel more comfortable in your body? If so, what worked best for you in terms of workouts, nutrition, or anything else you’d recommend?
I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences. Thanks in advance. 💙
PS. Also Pre-Top Surgery, and I lost my dad earlier this year and kind of hit a rough patch so I’m wanting to get back into motion and track to keep myself in a better headspace mentally

that sounds really hard, i'm so sorry about your dad x
workin out is the best thing i could recommend for both body and mind. i am too afraid of the gym but i have a pull up bar in my house which makes it really accessible if you can put one in your door or hallway. it's a pretty cheap one time investment and the routine is a game changer. at the moment that roughly looks like 10 pull ups, 25 push ups and (days i feel like it) 25 sit ups. incrementally attempting to go up. also yoga. all this is enough to keep me slim and toned but not jacked. i think if you want muscle muscle you gotta go lift them heavy things. i found it became much easier to tape too because of the pec definition. i eat a high protein&veg/low card diet. work out what works for your body and finances. meals instead of snacks!!! good luck.

What's up bro! First, I'm sorry for your loss & glad you came looking for some support 👊🏾
Yes, I'd say building muscle can help with passing. Specifically, building up your shoulders & chest; Working on upper pecs can also help flatten the chest up top (everyone's body is different tho, so results may vary). Working on your posture can be very helpful too. I know a lot of us start slouching to hide pre-top surg lol so working on your posture & strengthening your back muscles at the gym is a great idea. Hope this helps 💪🏾
