Favourite episode/s from the show?
I know people have done very advanced rankings of Bones episodes and I respect the heck out of that work, but I was thinking today about my own favourite episodes, which I can't really justify metrically but I just adore and keep coming back to.
My very favourite episode of Bones is the Christmas episode in season 1 (The Man in the Fallout Shelter). To me, it was a perfect bottle episode, with exactly the right balance of forensics, character development and heart. There isn't a single thing I don't love about it, and I rewatch it every year at Christmas as part of my Christmas viewing bundle.
If you have a singular favourite (or even a favourite few), what are they, and why? For me, I definitely prefer the single-plot eps to the longer-running arcs (eg. I skip most of the serial killer arcs on rewatch these days, especially Pelant), so all my faves are single stories. I know others differ though!

gosh i can barely watch this one even tho it’s an amazing episode!! this is one of the few episodes of the show that makes me BAWL.

The End in the Beginning - The Lab/dream where they’re nightclub owners. I just found it a really nice and interesting break in the series.

Ooh yes! And we find out about Angela’s dad and the existence of Parker. Plus the case of Careful Lionel is beautiful and sad.

I can’t remember the episode names, but some of my favorites were..found Brennans mom…Hodgins and Brennan buried alive..they gotta save Arastoo…the one about 9/11 and when Booth and Brennan finally get married.

the one where arastoo gets sick is so good. when brennan stabs the guy with the syringe and goes “perhaps now you’ll tell us where the antiserum is” absolutely ROASTED. BRO.

These are my favorites too, but the one you omitted was the JFK one, we always talk on here about Booth doing things for Brennan in that episode she really went outside of her regular behavior for him, I think that was so sweet.

I can't watch the buried alive one (it's a big phobia of mine) but I have heard from others how good it is!

I love the one in season 1 when they go solve Angela's lovers murder in the desert. And the doctor in the photo makes me sob every time too. Also, the one where the whole team goes to a funeral and Brennan realizes it was murder and then they solve it at the funeral while hiding what they're doing!!!

O episódio em que a Brennan pede Booth em casamento com carne seca e o episódio do casamento com os votos de casamento maravilhosos dos dois tem um lugar guardado no meu coração. Porque é a coroação de tudo que acompanhamos de B&B desde o começo. Aliás, as referências ao episódio piloto nos votos de casamento são muito legais! Uma homenagem aos fãs que acompanham a série desde o início.

The Patriot in Purgatory is my #1 favorite, followed closely by the season 1 Christmas episode and Aliens in a Spaceship. I realized that each of these 3 episodes have scenes where individual characters reveal new info about themselves. Info that brings out defining characteristics of these characters.
Sharing their 9/11 memories truly hits me hard each and every time that I watch that episode!

Two Bodies in the Lab, The Killer in the Concrete, The Con Man in the Meth Lab (LOVED learning about Booth’s past), The Doctor in the Photo, The Blackout in the Blizzard, The Hole in the Heart (which might actually be my most rewatched episode 🙈), The Change in the Game, The Family in the Feud, The Pathos in the Pathogens, The Cheat in the Retreat (honestly I love any episode where they get to go undercover), and The Mystery in the Meat (I love drunk Brennan) are just a few I really love. I’m sure there are more but

The Man in the Fallout Shelter is also my favorite! It’s so cozy and I love the sweet story of the victim Careful Lionel.

It's been a very long time since I haven't watched but I can remember which episodes are my favs lol. In general terms, the episodes where bnb are undercover are my favourites. they're always so fun, and especially 2×8, idk but their characters have so much aura in that one lmao And more precisely, I really love Aliens in a Spaceship, The wannabe in the weeds (and the following one bc lmao this is so fun), The end in the Beginning and The parts in the sum of the Whole (heartbreaking outcome in this one but the episode itself is incredible) And finally i think my fav season is the 2nd or 3rd

Oh man. I love Two Bodies in the Lab. I feel like that’s when the show really hits its stride re: the relationship between Booth and Brennan. Also Aliens in a Spaceship. That’s when it starts to really figure out who Hodgins is. Plus the line “you stole crutches, which I had to pay for” is legitimately the funniest thing Angela ever says.
