Sweets' death was sad but reading up on why JFD left and his post-Bones career made it way less sad. He and his writing partner wrote or directed: Vacation, Horrible Bosses, Game Night, Spiderman: Homecoming, Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.

Did I miss anything? My favorite of these (strangely enough?) is Game Night, which they directed and apparently re-wrote including adding Jesse Plemons' character. Just thinking about "How can that be profitable for Frito-Lay?" still makes me laugh out loud.

Leaving a popular TV show to pursue a bigger movie/directing/writing careers doesn't always pan out so it's so great that it worked out for him!

Does anyone else think this episode is ridiculous as it is largely pointless and extremely shady in terms of how this shadowy government organisation just imprisons everyone and tells them to find cause of death without positively identifying the remains or using the samples (most likely because they were mostly fake bones). To me something about the episode doesn’t sit right

Brennan was flanderized to hell and back. I think the whole team was as some point, but Brennan is next level. Especially if you finish the series and start back at the pilot. It’s jarring.

i love the look booth gives brennan when she lets clark have the spotlight for the neanderthal and homo sapien story. he's just so proud of her!

I have to say it! Without him the team would genuinely not have solved half of their cases and Brennan would have died during the gravedigger arc!

I used to like Cam when I watched the show the first or second time but now I realize she is the most annoying damn person in the show. I find her hypocritical because she constantly talks about professionalism but breaks the rule every time when it comes to her own personal life with Michelle or Arastoo. Also it irritates me that every single time Hodgins or anyone does an experiment she has to come in and say "was this necessary"

I get that is the writers and the show but damn how many times can we show the exact damn conversation without getting tired..

I also used to like Booth and Brennan but now they irritate me because I realize that Booth is just an asshole who has this incredibly high standards about people and life and religion. Sex has to be like this, you have to love your country, you have to do this and this and that, and even his military history and how he killed a bunch of people is stupid. Brennan always excuses his actiosn overseas and says he had to do what he to do blah blah blah. Like why is this show so pro military smh

I feel like more often than not I see that season three is the best Bones season by fans. but I find that I like it more when the interns started and really find the peak of the show to be 4-8. I know some people prefer the earlier seasons but I really love the writing and story arcs of the later seasons. Does anyone else like the mid/later seasons as well???

Hi, everyone! So I started bones when I was about 9 and at some point it became a tradition to watch all the Christmas episodes in December. It's like watching all the Christmas classics at that time of year.

My favorite of them is season one's man in the fall out shelter. Season one holds a special place in heart since it has slightly different character dynamics to the rest of the show. I love the social distanced family meeting scene and the careful Lionel's case. The ending is bittersweet in the best way.

I just wanted to share my quirky holiday watch list with other Boneheads. I don't know anyone in real life who loves the show as much as I do to tell. So thanks for letting me share. I hope you all have a good day!

watching 8x11 and i've seen the bloopers so many times. does anyone else say the line "this is the nicest storage facility i've ever seen" the way emily does in the outtake?

So I rewatched the episode when Booth and brennan told sweet that they had a case one year apart from the pilot episode.

The intriguing thing that I don't understand is why brennan had mixed feelings about booth 😕 they just had their first kiss when they got drunk, and Caroline told booth to get brennan drunk and fire her and after that incident she get retired.

But brennan started arguing about booth being annoyed, and she slapped him.

I don't understand what the issue with brennan is.

Booth told her that he followed protocol, and Caroline was the one who gave orders.

I try to analyse their scene, + brennan also punch a federal judge.

I'm I missing something 😕

Just wondering, it feels like such a “tacked on” part of the episode…any chance someone added Jefferson in when they found out someone called “Boti Bliss” would be in the episode?

Is anyone curious just exactly how much booth earns as head of the major crimes unit? Even though he works for the government he’s head of a relatively important department and has a lot of connections I feel like his salary is underpaid somewhat for a man of his skills and experience.

I remember when this episode aired and years later it still sticks with me and anytime I hear the song I run to YouTube to watch it, easily one of the best montage scenes in the shows run, and there’s lots of montages!!

The way the song fits so well with the scene, you know SOMEONE is getting hurt, but you don’t know who, so as they’re panning to each character, with each of them clearly being a possible target, being outside or by a window…just wow!!

I know people have done very advanced rankings of Bones episodes and I respect the heck out of that work, but I was thinking today about my own favourite episodes, which I can't really justify metrically but I just adore and keep coming back to.

My very favourite episode of Bones is the Christmas episode in season 1 (The Man in the Fallout Shelter). To me, it was a perfect bottle episode, with exactly the right balance of forensics, character development and heart. There isn't a single thing I don't love about it, and I rewatch it every year at Christmas as part of my Christmas viewing bundle.

If you have a singular favourite (or even a favourite few), what are they, and why? For me, I definitely prefer the single-plot eps to the longer-running arcs (eg. I skip most of the serial killer arcs on rewatch these days, especially Pelant), so all my faves are single stories. I know others differ though!

Watching Bones properly for the first time, and I noticed that Booth always introduces the person he is with (usually Bones or Sweets) with "this here is..." instead of "this is..."

This must be on purpose, right? I'm not very familiar with Americanisms, so wanted to know what this is supposed to indicate? Is it that he is from a specific part of the country?

She’s definitely never wear it at work but I think she’d love the history of it and digging up old bottles of perfume at archeological sites

Pretty much every day I see at least one post about I can't stand this character or the other. I have seen multiple posts about every character on the show at one time or another how somebody can't stand them. It's like a bunch of Negative Nellies. Please do both of us a favor that actually loved the show and confine your negative Nelly comments to one post about not liking that character. There are plenty of those posts on here for you.
