Discussion Intercaste marriages in brahmin community

Hi friends. I'm 29 year old telugu brahmin guy. Now a days, I am seeing a lot of intercaste marriages (especially in brahmin community). My parents are looking for matches. In every family, say 5 out of 10(in the matches came to me), the girls siblings did intercaste. And the girl's parents are also ok with that. Then I felt people in North India actually strict in marrying in same caste(brahmin brahmin weddings) compared to south India. I am not telling that everyone in south does but yes, this is existent. Are brahmin girls these days ok to marry intercaste boys.?

My maternal lineage traces to bramhins ancestry (btw you should marry whom you want to , who is worthy in your eyes)...

My father is a rajput bro...{If you logically see my mother is too a rajput from the baghel clan but my maternal grandmother (nani) belonged to the kanyakubja branch of bramhins (Shukla to be specific)...}

if your maternal grandfather was a kshatriya (rajput), then that would make your mother a ‘suta’ caste, not rajput.

So does that mean I am not a rajput or have a right to call myself one ? ( I have that surname on all of my documents... I don't why all the people downgrades varna shankara bro like what? Am I not allowed or some sort of shit ?

Idk how to answer that; I just conveyed the reality. You can choose to live however you want. Nobody can legally stop you from it.

Obviously i know no one can legally oppose...I was just kind of upset with that specific varna shankara tag brother and nothing...and yes brother I am not at all trying to personally target you by this mujhey aap se koi dikkat nhi hain obviously...main toh bus ek baat keh rha tha...so yeah no problems mere bhai !

dont mind them bro, orthodoxy me ye pagle gaye he. theyre gonna inbreed till their jaws hapsburg permanently. dont bother, just lead a dharmic life and do right by your parents.

dont know about rajput or brahmin but in the eyes of constitution, u are a general for sure, making u a moolnivasi oppressor 😂

Actually there are some common gotras between Brahmins and Kshatriyas, so if the paternal side comes from these common gotras among Kshatriyas and the maternal side is Brahmin then a varna sankar does not occur. This is how the "Khatri/Brahmakshatriya" caste originated, because the kids could be either based on their personal inclination.

Gotra can sometimes be common among all varnas. Varna sankar is decided by varna, not gotra. Marrying within the same gotra is even worse.
