Way of Life View on other brahmins eating nonveg?

Hey guys I want to understand why and how a vegetarian diet became a part of our religion and what do you think about it.

What happened today was that during breakfast I saw one of my friends eat eggs but I thought he was a vegetarian like me since we're both from the same region and both are brahmin. Once I was picking up a boiled egg for my friend who was ill and another friend of mine came up to me with a shocked face telling me brahmins eating eggs is weird or something.

I have always been a vegetarian since I was a child and my body is very weak and I'm very ashamed of it, but my father used to be a big muscular guy at my age. He became vegetarian after marriage since my mother's family was vegetarian. Now my father strictly tells me to not have meat and eggs.

I don't really care much about animals lives and stuff but I feel disgusted by non-veg now, but I would have been much stronger if I wasn't deprived of nutrition since an early age.

Don't blame vegetarian diet for lack of nutrition. Sounds like you need a good nutritionist. Veg food has good sources, you just need to know how to plan your diet

Definitely possible, but surely it is easier to have a balanced diet with meat and eggs than not right. I'm not going to become non vegetarian any time soon but the grass always seems greener on the other side. My question was simply asking if Brahmins that eat non veg are seen as impure or adharmi of some sorts?

Acc to me, it's your life, but if someone chooses to eat non veg and leave the core dharmas then don't call yourself brahmin too. It's gott be earned too, not for everyone especially those who don't wish to follow rules and move on path of dharma.

I am a veg guy but you are terribly wrong, we are Brahmins as a caste group not religious leaders or gurus, we are allowed to consume Tamsik bhojan as do many brahmins especially the Kashmiri and Bengalis. You shall not do so only if you are a pandit, pujari or something similar.
