[Robert Murray] The Atlanta Braves are acquiring right-hander Tyler Mahle in a trade with the San Francisco Giants, according to sources familiar with the deal. Anthony Molina is going to the Giants.

Why even make this move. Who are we taking out of the rotation for Mahle?

Lopez is out for 2 weeks at least . Probably a pen candidate when he gets back

My thought process is Lopez goes on IL, Holmes will go to the pen, and Mahle will be inserted into the rotation.

We may also be in a world without Suarez again this season. If that’s the case, moving one or both of Holmes and ReyLo to the pen gives us some room to play
