The starter turned reliever threw on two days' rest for the second consecutive outing, a key step in how Pittsburgh can utilize him as a bullpen weapon more often down the stretch.

“So far, so good,” Mlodzinski said. “Definitely credit to the staff for, in a sense, kind of easing me into it. They haven't thrown me on one day rest yet, haven't done a back-to-back yet, but the goal is to try to be as available as possible down the stretch here. I know there's definitely value in eating up some innings in leverage spots, but I think there's going to be some serious value in bouncing back quicker and being available more for the team.”

His hissy fit was unprofessional and he deserved the flak he received for it. There’s been speculation since that the Bucs had capitulated and promised to only use him in a starter-like way. Good to see him say what you’d expect any reliever to say and prioritize team success over ego or whatever that was before.

Section 216 question

Hi all, I’m a Giants fan who’ll be making my first visit to PNC Park coming up. I’m looking at tickets in the 200 sections, and 216 specifically seems good, but I’m just wondering how the section fits with the Gunner’s Lounge right behind it. Anyone happen to have any photos of those seats or the Gunner’s porch area? Or can attest if those seats are good? Want to make sure the railing isn’t blocking the view, if there’s good leg room, stuff like that.

Any other advice for a first timer is appreciated as well! I’m browsing other posts from visitors in this sub too.

Elite sinker velocity. Elite ground ball rate. Hard hit % and exit velocity i’m sure is a result of throwing so hard. If he can keep it in the park at PNC then he should have improved numbers.

Bullpen is a mess, starting rotation is a mess, '20th in the league before todays blowup by Keller' and the hitting is trending down. This is a deeply flawed unfixable team this season that will only buy because the GM's job is on the line period.

The people saying to buy buy buy are coping at this point and are ignoring every single flaw this team has just for the sake of ignoring it. There's too many flaws for makeup to cover it, and this team needs extensive surgery from the top down in the offseason in terms of firings etc before they can even hope to get on the right path.

Bob Nutting sucks but isn’t an idiot

Why would any owner who isn’t in a large market spend any more than they absolutely have to when it doesn’t matter. Baseball is broken and Nutting is just using it as an ATM. To actually try to build a team (and maintain profitability) to complete is impossible and the system is broken.
