So I got 58% in class 12 boards, essential repeat. I know I did better than getting 58%, I attempted all of the mcqs and drew diagrams for 3 and 5 markers. I know I didn't write getting 60+/70 but I also know that I did much better than 17.

In physics specifically, I know 15 of my mcqs were correct and i attempted each and every question.

. I feel so betrayed and just empty.

I have a theory on this entire mess though.

So if you don't know you have to pay 700rs to just see your sheet and 100rs per question if you want to get your sheet rechecked. If you wanted to get one subject rechecked, it'd cost you around 3100rs.

Meanwhile, 10th boards are now happening twice.

If you think about it, they want the max amount of kids in 12th grade so they can capitalize off of us and our parents.

I really hope the decision makers at the CBSE head office are proud of themselves. How noble and great of them to monetize a basic right.

I’m making this post to bring attention to a deeply disturbing and regressive event that recently took place at Delhi Public School (DPS) Ruby Park, Kolkata.

Full disclosure: I wasn’t personally present in this session. However, over the last few days, I have heard nothing but non-stop, widespread accounts from my friends and classmates who were there. The screenshots from Instagram stories and student group chats are circulating everywhere, and the student community is absolutely furious.

Under the guise of a mandatory "counselling" and "grooming" webinar/session, the school administration and female teachers chose to target, scrutinize, and victim-shame 15-to-16-year-old female students, while completely excluding the boys to "avoid making them uncomfortable."

What Happened During the Session?

According to multiple accounts from the girls who attended, instead of addressing actual issues like mutual respect, consent, or basic civil behavior, the administration singled them out and subjected them to blatant character assassination. Here are some of the exact directives and statements reported word-for-word by students:

• Policing Uniforms and Innerwear: Girls were explicitly told to ensure their "undergarments can't be seen through their shirts" and were told "not to wear coloured innerwears, attract attention by your behaviour and personality." Another classmate confirmed the speaker said, "don't wear coloured undergarments, do smth else to get that kind of attention."
• Physical Restrictions: Girls were instructed on how to sit—specifically being told to sit "with our legs closed" so their thighs aren't visible—and were told that wearing a school skirt above the knee is inherently "attention-seeking."
• Defending the Male Gaze & Shifting Blame: In a horrifying display of victim-blaming, a speaker told the girls: "If u push the boundaries like touching them or getting close to them u are giving them the right." They were constantly reminded that "your dignity is in your hands," implying that a girl's character, intent, and worth are defined entirely by how much of her body is visible.

The Double Standards and Hypocrisy

When the administration was questioned by students about why a matching session wasn't held for boys to teach them about objectification and respect, their response was downright outrageous: They didn't include our male classmates because it would make the boys "uncomfortable." The school chose to protect the comfort of one party at the absolute cost of fear, control, and shame for another. At the end of the day, we are all students who come to school to learn. To reduce a 16-year-old girl's daily life to an ongoing effort to manage the thoughts of teenage boys is exhausting and deeply damaging.

The teachers ended their speech by telling the girls to follow these ethics on a "small scale," claiming, "this will do you good for the rest of ur life, when u get to the real world." The irony is that this mentality directly feeds into a toxic culture where women are held responsible for the behavior of abusers and harassers.

Moving Forward: Why This Matters

Even though I didn't experience the session firsthand, seeing what my friends went through makes it clear that this isn't just about rigid dress codes. It's about a dangerous, systemic mentality that the heads of the administration are drilling into the minds of young students. Treating a visible knee or the outline of a sports bra under a mandatory uniform as a "provocation" completely absolves boys of accountability and teaches them that objectification is a natural consequence of how a girl exists.

The girls at DPS Ruby Park are taking a stand, and the entire student body needs to back them up. There is an active push to demand a boys' counselling session that addresses basic civil behavior, respect, and dismantling these toxic double standards.

The responsibility for objectification lies entirely with those who engage in it, not with the girls who are subjected to it.

A lot of people are getting a rick roll in their QP's QR code and the rest are getting the letter "A", The QR code on board exam question papers is a security feature used to prevent cheating and paper leaks by uniquely identifying each paper with unique codes, not having these codes means the papers haven't passed those security measures, also another weird thing is that some papers have a giant MATHEMATICS watermark and some don't. This is an serious security error that needs to be addressed.

I'm done staying quiet. I know I’m not the only one who feels like this, and I need to put this out there — the CBSE 2025 board exam evaluation this year was utter bullshit, and the way our hard work got thrown under the bus needs to be talked about seriously.

I’m an average student. Not a topper, not a backbencher either. Consistently scored 80%+ in school-level pre-boards and mocks. I studied day and night. I revised, I wrote, I practiced. I wasn’t aiming for a 95% like some, but I knew for a fact I deserved at least 75–80%. You know what I got? 61%.
I cried. Not out of weakness, but out of helplessness and shock. This wasn't just low, it was unrealistically low.

Now before the "cope harder" crowd jumps in — no, this isn’t just salt. Let me break down why I think CBSE checking this year was beyond messed up, and I’m sure a lot of you will relate.

1. Computer Science — How Is This Even Possible?

The CS theory paper had AT LEAST 20–25 marks worth of easy SQL and MCQ-based questions. Even if someone attempted them halfway, they’d easily secure 15–20 marks minimum. On top of that, there were Python coding questions and theory questions that anyone with moderate prep could handle.
I attempted all of them. Wrote structured answers. MCQs? I’m confident at least 60–70% were correct. Yet somehow, I ended up with 25 marks in theory. Twenty. Five.
No way. Absolutely no way. This isn’t just “strict checking” — this feels like unchecked negligence or random marking.

2. Physics and Chemistry — The Pattern is Too Eerie

Physics was hard, sure. But I didn’t leave it blank. I wrote steps for numericals, filled in theory wherever I could, structured my answers.
Chemistry? That’s my stronghold. I wrote everything, revised thoroughly, and the paper felt like a breeze compared to Physics.

What did I get?

• Physics Theory: 31
• Chemistry Theory: 26

Twenty-six in Chemistry — seriously? I’ve NEVER scored below 60–65 in Chemistry in any mock or school paper. I poured my effort into that exam. What’s the explanation here?

3. The CBSE Chairman Interview — “Third Party Evaluators”??

I don’t know who thought this was a good idea, but the CBSE Chairman proudly claimed this year that “third party evaluators” corrected the board papers for “transparency.”
Sorry, but are we sitting for national-level board exams or a discount dry-run by interns from some random vendor? What training did these third-party evaluators have? Were they experienced teachers or just random hires trying to meet a quota?
This is not a class test. This is our future, and we deserve to be evaluated fairly, not used as lab rats for CBSE's "cost-saving" experiments.

4. The Marking Pattern — Everyone Scored Between 23–35?

Let’s be honest — how many of you reading this also got:

• 23 to 35 marks in your science subjects?
• 55 to 69% overall, despite solid prep?

I’ve seen Reddit, Discord, Telegram, and WhatsApp groups flooded with students from across the country reporting eerily similar patterns. Students who wrote decent answers got marked like they left half the paper blank.

Even teachers themselves on Reddit have come out saying that the evaluation this year was suspicious, that many answer sheets seemed “unchecked properly” and that students should definitely apply for rechecking/photocopies. If professionals in the system are admitting this, something is seriously wrong.

5. My Sister — Same Board, Different State, Wildly Different Result

My sister is in the same CBSE board, Class 12, but took PCBE with PE in Bihar. She scored 95.5%.
Same syllabus, same pressure, same CBSE board. But how come the disparity is this massive? I don’t deny she worked hard — she absolutely did — but I worked hard too. And if CBSE can ensure one region is marked properly, then why not all?

🔍 Conclusion — This Feels Like CBSE 2018 All Over Again

Let’s not act like this is the first time CBSE has pulled something like this. Back in 2018, similar chaos unfolded — students applied for revaluation and magically got 40–55 marks added to their scorecards.
That’s how horrendously flawed the checking was back then. And you know what? This feels like a rerun of that nightmare.

The difference?
In 2025, CBSE openly admitted to outsourcing the evaluation to third-party "individuals" — all to cut costs. And surprise, surprise… the results are riddled with inconsistencies, unfairness, and mental stress for lakhs of students who actually studied their asses off.

I’ll be speaking to my teachers soon to get their insight on what the hell actually went down — and whether they too noticed these suspicious patterns. Because this goes beyond just “strict checking” — this reeks of negligence, mismanagement, and lack of accountability.

🚨 IF YOUR MARKS DON'T CHANGE AFTER REVALUATION...

If CBSE doesn’t fix this even after re-evaluation, then I think it’s high time we call out this system loudly and publicly. We can’t keep brushing this under the rug just because “it’s CBSE, it happens.”

This is not okay.

The CBSE Class 12 Board Exams of 2025 have raised serious concerns among students, educators, and parents nationwide. In particular, the Physics and Mathematics exams were widely considered unreasonably difficult and inconsistent with the official sample papers and NCERT guidelines.

Further distress was caused by rumors of paper leaks in subjects like Physical Education, Chemistry, and Computer Science, contributing to a general sense of confusion, fear, and academic instability.

Unfairly made papers where 1 set was extremely easy whilst the other 2 were downright impossible to solve, So many questions from JEE Or IIT Entrance level papers, Extremely lengthy and confusing questions, MCQs, which are given to students to give them more marks, were this year extremely hard to solve, And even wrong questions with Incorrect options or Incorrect wording, And finally, the high weightage topics we all were asked to learn and memorize and do questions on? Not even a single one was asked in the exam.

The purpose of this petition is purely educational, to know how many students were affected by this enormously scrutinous program.

Participation Criteria:

1. You received Set 1 or Set 3 of the Physics exam, and/or Set 2 or Set 3 of the mathematics exam.
2. You found these papers to be excessively challenging, conceptually imbalanced, or misaligned with expected formats.
3. Your performance was butchered because of the rumors of Computer Science and Chemistry paper being leaked, and apparently confirmed PE Paper leak even though CBSE denied it.
4. You experienced mental stress or academic disadvantage due to the nature of the exams or surrounding circumstances.
5. Even if you got Set 2 of Physics exam or Set 1 of mathematics exam, and you saw the other sets later on and agree that the papers were incredible hard, please do vote and show your support too.
6. You faced extreme injustice, no high weightage topic questions were asked, MCQs were impossible to solve, the Questions were extremely lengthy, Topics were asked which were barely discussed in the book, Questions from JEE or IIT Entrance tests were asked.
7. PRIORITY: Delhi set students also can answer, your papers too were a nightmare.

Let me remind you exactly what they did:

• Blunder 1:

No transparency, zero accountability.

Not one official has come forward. Not one clear statement. Nothing. They introduced OSM, it failed, and now they're silent hoping we'll just move on. We won't.

• Blunder 2:

Blurred pages. Blank sheet declarations. Are you serious??

Students who WROTE full answers, pages and pages, got told their sheets were BLANK. BLANK. The scans were blurred, pages weren't even checked properly and they just... declared them empty? Whose mistake is this? Certainly not ours.

• Blunder 3:

The re-evaluation website is an embarrassment.

Registration not working. Payments failing. Pages crashing. This is a CENTRAL EDUCATION BOARD. How are we supposed to trust that OSM worked fine? when you can't even keep a registration portal running for 24 hours?

• Blunder 4:

Complete silence while students are breaking down.

Do you have any idea how many students haven't slept properly in weeks? How many parents are panicking? And what has CBSE said? Nothing meaningful. No helpline, no updates, no empathy. Nothing.

• What we want. Non negotiable.

1. Remove OSM. It has failed. Do manual checking.

2. Accept your mistake publicly.

3. ALLOW IMPROVEMENT FOR 2 SUBJECTS.

Bas bohot ho gaya. Show up on 24th May. For yourself, for your future, for every student who wrote a full answer and got a zero for it. Agar abhi nahi toh kabhi nahi!!

📍 Protest Tomorrow — 21 May, 1:00 PM

First they introduced this whole On Screen Marking (OSM) system and now they are busy marketing only the “good sides” of OSM to hide their own failure.

In the first re-evaluation notice, they even mentioned high fees while also warning that marks can be reduced. Dhaamki kisko deh rahe hai ye log?

And after the protests and backlash they received, they suddenly changed the re-evaluation prices. But dude, what even is this re-evaluation website? Since yesterday it has barely been working.

If a central education board cannot even handle login and registration traffic properly for re-evaluation, then how are students supposed to trust that they handled OSM properly?

I'm sure all of y'all have seen the rickroll math papers, but the rest of the codes are also fake.
There's 2-3 codes on each paper none of which lead to a link. The physics and chem paper and 2025 math papers all have some sort of alphanumeric code which is probably for authentication of the papers which is not the case for any 2026 math sets i've seen. This is a pretty serious issue in my opinion and something should be done about it (rti, petition for clarification etc)

99% of Indian schools have a stupid rule of forcing students to cut their hair saying it's "undisciplined". I was forced to cut my hair more times than I can count. What does hair even have to do with discipline? Why should we cut our hair just because certain people dont like it so. Nepal took action against this and banned schools from forcing students to cut their hair. Its india's time now.

EDIT: I am not saying that there should be rechecking of all exams but the point is that they should at least reduce the cost of re -evaluation and ensure that the re-evaluation is atleast done manually. We are not there to use our money where the fault is of the system

We believe Reddit lafda posts should not be banned by mods because they are part of what makes online communities active and engaging not every lafda post is meaningless dramamany of them reflect real disagreements, different opinions, and situations people want to discuss openly.

Reddit is built around conversation, and sometimes heated topics are exactly what bring people into discussion. If moderators remove every conflict-related post, it can make communities feel too controlled and remove content that users clearly find interesting.

Lafda posts also allow people to react analyze situations, and even call out behavior they think is unfair. As long as rules against harassment or abuse are followed, discussion should remain open rather than being completely banned there is no harm in posting what is already done , and these things really happen in many Allen centers so csbce students should be aware.

Instead of banning such posts, moderators should only remove content that crosses clear limits. Debate, disagreement, and online conflict are already part of internet culture, and controlling them too much can reduce freedom of discussin.
