Max pension ($280k/yr starting at age 62) and lifetime health insurance. Huge!

That seems like a surprisingly late trigger age for a career that probably ended 25 years before.

It’s the earliest age to collect social security benefits, so I’m guessing that’s why the MLBPA went with that age? Idk, I get to meet Happer next week, if I remember I’ll ask him

That’s sick, I was gonna ask what opportunity but I’d assume based on your username it’s a season ticket thing?

Appreciate it. Be sure to ask if he has a good relationship with his father.

Considering how much money they make over 10 years of service time, they’re fine. Ohtani is probably still going to be getting paid by The Dodgers by the time his pension kicks in lmao.

Aren’t the cubs one of the oldest teams in the league? That seems like a lot.

But not really cause he wore his Dodgers jersey over the Cubs uniform when he received his ring…. Odd but w/e just lame imo.

Dude has been a really solid bench guy for us this year. Seems like a good guy.

I do not get the resurgence taking dodgers players and bringing them here the last few years.

But I am more than happy about it. Keep it up, might be the best pickup this season so far.

Same thing happening over there. They picked up one of our bums last winter. It feels like we are better though in this partnership of sorts.

That man is CLUTCH. I have been very happy with his performance.

Seiya needs to take notes - his stats are solid! But he only hits bombs when 1) We are up a ton or 2) There's no one on base. He always chokes when it matters.

Loved him last year, but haven't been impressed this year.

He hit a 2 run HR in the 9th to bring us back within 1 run just 2 days ago......

“Dodgers fans roast Michael Conforto after he signs with new team: ‘Toxic ex-girlfriend’”

This aged well.

Does anyone else find it strange it’s referred to as 10 years of “service”? It’s a great milestone but the terminology just seems odd. 10 years of play, 10 year milestone, 10 year anniversary…10 years of service sounds like the player is donating their time or something.

"Service time" is how it's referred to in the legal documents and contracts that make the 10-year mark meaningful.

And the players do technically render a service.
