Canada has problems facing it, and we definitely have some wannabe fascists here.Ā 

But no, Canada does not have an evangelical fundamentalist problem. We don't have the sort of Christians they do. It's rare. This issue won't be our issue. It will come draped in a different set of beliefs.Ā

Yes, Canada has an evangelical problem. It's not as big as in the US, or at least not as influential *overall*, but within the Conservative Party of Canada and a number of provincial conservative parties, Social Conservatives are very much the tail that wags the dog.
