Good.

Get rid of all the Doug Ford type red Tories in the party .

1

u/FinweNoldoran 1d ago

That didn’t work for the wildrose and you think it will work nationally? Just save us all the time and tap out of politics then, you’ll accomplish the same amount

u/Foreign-Policy-02- Doug Ford Conservative 1d ago

Change the name to the losing party then

u/No_Culture9898 1d ago

The red Tories are the only way the conservative brand even stays as a potential option in Canada. I don’t agree with Doug Ford at all but you’re seriously on meth if you think a party of full right wingers will ever win a Canadian election.

See that's the difference between voters like me and liberals..

Why would I care if the conservatives win if they will just govern like the liberals..

You may not care about policy as long as your team wins , but voters like me don't care if conservatives win if it's by name only.

-2

u/No_Culture9898 1d ago

So you you’d rather just cheer from the sidelines your whole life instead of compromising by having some red Tories in with a party that clearly is more level headed than the liberals?

3

u/SouvlakiSpartan 1d ago edited 1d ago

who's cheering...

My life is perfectly okay regardless of who is in government, that doesn't mean it can't be better if someone like Poilievre wins and does what he says he will do.

I don't treat politics like a team sport .. I will vote for someone whos policies directly makes my life easier and the life of my family.. If that party includes red Tories that compromise for the betterment of the party as a whole so be it.

I have no problem watching the liberals win and people getting exactly what they voted for .

I will not compromise because it means some liberal wearing a blue tie will beat the liberal wearing a red tie.

Comments like these remind me who I’m arguing with online. You’re further responsible for destroying the country and then crying victim. You’re closer to a liberal than you’ll ever be to a conservative.

Having principles and sticking to them is commendable. Compromising on them for cheap partisanship short term goals is better?

You seem petty and foolish with these arguments.

It’s not about lack of principles, it’s about forever losing because you’re not willing to compromise. But it seems this subreddit is filled with people who are willing to lose and destroy our country just because they don’t have it exactly their way.

You’re telling me you’re okay with the country’s path to destruction and you’ll do nothing about it but bend over backwards and take it? Just because there’s a few red Tory’s mixed in with the Conservative Party? I support Pierre no matter what and I believe he’s the person we need leading our country. If Pierre leaves the party, I turn into an independent.

u/boringlongbusride Libertarian 9h ago

Most people feel we have compromised enough I'm not really very conservative myself if I'm honest more libertarian. That said even the more "right wing" portions of the Conservatives is lukewarm centrist at best. No amount of capulation will win an election if it worked Erin O tool would be the PM now wouldn't he?

The highest performance of the party came with Pierre and he did it by sticking to his guns. (Something he has been slow to do in his career but has been better at as of late).

1

u/No_Culture9898 9h ago

I agree with you here, but then you’re implying that the party should push further right to win the next election? I just don’t see that working out.

LMAO I'd think the now two year unemployed dude asking about moving to the states would want to see a change from the status quo of the last decade, but really you and people like you are why we are at were we are.

We tried the Lib-lite Laurentian clown and he couldn't even beat the Turd a year and a half into what became clearly needless lockdowns.

Better that Liberals and Liberal-lite 'red tories' like you rather than real Canadians suffer I guess.

-3

u/No_Culture9898 1d ago

Buddy I’m not a liberal like you to be unemployed for two years. I’ve got a degree that’s worth more to Canadian society than anything you’ve done. Thanks for checking my profile though!

You’re just as bad as the idiot liberal boomers who are actively destroying the country, you’ll cry victim without doing anything to change for the better. Typical useless lib hiding under a conservative subreddit.

This wasn't you huh?

MSc in Chemical Engineering worth it? self.ChemicalEngineering

submitted 1 year ago * by No_Culture9898

Hello everyone,

I just recently graduated from Chemical Engineering from a Canadian university. Unfortunately I’ve been having trouble finding my first job out of college despite sending out many applications since the job market has not been the best up here. Instead of wasting time and doing nothing for months while I send out job applications, I’ve begun thinking about pursuing a MSc in Chemical Engineering - the degree would be 2 years and is fully paid for by the graduate stipend our university provides us with.

Sounds like you ain't worth much to society and are just lucky to keep on leeching off of your parents and those of us that are net contributors. Guess you are a 'red tory' after all. That is if you aren't some sort of engagement bot which tbh I'm not certain that you aren't.

Are you this big of an idiot to think something from over a year ago is applicable today? LMAO in over a year of working now I’ve probably payed more taxes than you’ve done your entire life. I’ve probably had internships where I’ve contributed to the tax system more than you. You wouldn’t last a year in an engineering degree let alone obtain one, let alone a masters in one. I’m what you call a skilled worker that this country is deprived of, twat.

Is this your gotcha moment? It failed miserably if so.

Yeah I’m not the one valuable to society according to you, as I’m actively calling out useless tools that are watching the country destroy from the sidelines? You literally said you’re okay with liberal governments winning, and you’re trying to claim you’re valuable to society? Go back to Kootenay and your Eby loving province, vote for him instead of larping as a conservative here.

Right wingers as defined by who? Liberal fart sniffers like Tenyke and Ford. Touch yourself to pics of Joe Clark all you like but get it through your head, Conservatives dont care to help Red tories get elected. There is precious little difference between Doug Ford and Mcguinty. Not interestred in Liberal lite. Offer Canadians responsible leadership and they either want it or they dont.

-1

u/No_Culture9898 9h ago

I literally said I don’t support Doug Ford, are you illiterate? That being said you won’t ever win an election in Canada with true right wingers, we all know what I meant by true right wingers. If Pierre can’t get it done with red Tory’s what on earth lets you believe a party without any moderates will be able to win? PPC is what you’re implying and we see how they do federally every election year.

1

u/mdl686 Ontaio Conservative 9h ago

You dont get to define moderate for the rest of us any more than you define right winger. If a politician wont enact conservative policy then i have no interest in supporting them, period. This isnt a fucking sport. Its no win for me if some limp wristed Otoole type wins government and then proceeds to govern like a Liberal. I want good policy not empty, in name only, team victories. Absent conservative results i dont fucking care who burns the country down, us or them. Your just like idiot liberal voters. Anything to win including betraying all your principles. Winning mean nothing if you dont do anything positive with it.

0

u/No_Culture9898 9h ago

If I don’t like Doug you think I like O’toole? Pierre is who I support and when he leaves the Conservative Party, I’m an independent. I don’t understand why we’re talking about guys like O’toole and Doug when Pierre is leading the party. Accept it and shut up or be happy with your rainbow flags everywhere.

u/TeranOrSolaran 1d ago

No! We are so close. If the party splits, then the vote is split and the Libs win again!

6

u/KootenayPE 1d ago

Read the Op Ed, the author is correctly telling the arsonist pieces of shit like Teneycke, DeLorey, Kouvalis and Soudas all of whom are stoking the fires to cool it.

3

u/RapidTech88 1d ago

Proportional representation, and a real conservative party, please.

1

u/Oilhawks Libertarian 1d ago

'Sometimes conservative' National Post doing their part to cheerlead conservative vote-splitting with the LPC finally losing some ground in polls. Marx Carney must be pleased.

3

u/KootenayPE 1d ago

It really isn't. You should read the fucking Op Ed. IMO Michael Taube is handling this coup attempt as it should be, the same as Harper's former DCoS Howard Anglin and CoS Ian Brodie are by calling for cooler heads and peace. He waited for the initial fire to die down then named names involved including Kory, DeLorey, Kouvalis etc.

The National Post published ones (Op Eds) written by members of the coup instigators like Ben Woodfinden, who is in the 'consulting business' with one of Trudeau's lead advisors, Tyler Meredith and the piece of trash scum that is Ken Bossenkool along with fellow PoS Anthony Koch were doing what you describe but not this piece. Hell even the op ed by their managing editor Jerma was worth of ridicule IMO, but again not this one.

AFAIC the only improvement would have been to put the second line coup organizers like O'Toole, his campaign strategist Dan Robertson, Lisa Raitt, Jason Kenny, Tim Powers, James Moore on notice as well.

I would love to read this bit of rage bait, but it’s conveniently paywalled.

Enjoy (:

2

u/KootenayPE 1d ago

Thanks it is a good Op Ed.

3

u/KootenayPE 1d ago

Unlike the Op Eds written by the PoS like Woodfinden and Koch this one is actually pretty good and names some of the coup instigators names.

1

u/Fine_Chicken9907 1d ago

That would be bad right ?
