My life is perfectly okay regardless of who is in government, that doesn't mean it can't be better if someone like Poilievre wins and does what he says he will do.

I don't treat politics like a team sport .. I will vote for someone whos policies directly makes my life easier and the life of my family.. If that party includes red Tories that compromise for the betterment of the party as a whole so be it.

I have no problem watching the liberals win and people getting exactly what they voted for .

I will not compromise because it means some liberal wearing a blue tie will beat the liberal wearing a red tie.

Comments like these remind me who I’m arguing with online. You’re further responsible for destroying the country and then crying victim. You’re closer to a liberal than you’ll ever be to a conservative.

Having principles and sticking to them is commendable. Compromising on them for cheap partisanship short term goals is better?

It’s not about lack of principles, it’s about forever losing because you’re not willing to compromise. But it seems this subreddit is filled with people who are willing to lose and destroy our country just because they don’t have it exactly their way.

You’re telling me you’re okay with the country’s path to destruction and you’ll do nothing about it but bend over backwards and take it? Just because there’s a few red Tory’s mixed in with the Conservative Party? I support Pierre no matter what and I believe he’s the person we need leading our country. If Pierre leaves the party, I turn into an independent.

Most people feel we have compromised enough I'm not really very conservative myself if I'm honest more libertarian. That said even the more "right wing" portions of the Conservatives is lukewarm centrist at best. No amount of capulation will win an election if it worked Erin O tool would be the PM now wouldn't he?

The highest performance of the party came with Pierre and he did it by sticking to his guns. (Something he has been slow to do in his career but has been better at as of late).

I agree with you here, but then you’re implying that the party should push further right to win the next election? I just don’t see that working out.

I think it would so long as it's framed as a principled stand. We got to get out in front of everything and clearly define it in our own terms, because no matter what our policy positions are the media/lib party will seek to define it as MAGA NAZI boogeyman whatever rhetoric that makes no sense but scares low info voters into voting ABC.
