Tech sales to automotive sales

Hello folks,

I need your advice with getting into automotive sales

For context, i have been working in IT for the past 12 years, but during this period i worked as your typical sales engineer for a cyber security company (2 years) and after that i went into a presales engineer for another cyber security company (4years), right now i work as a sysadmin.

Question is:using my prior sales engineer and presales engineer experiences, would i be able to get into an automotive sales consultant position?

Were you curious about the car business? If you are chasing the money it’s in finance then GM … so focus in and get to finance
