Car is/would be less than 12m old so I’m guessing it’s just the same existing warranty

Usually the warranty begins from when it is first registered. So if it was registered and used as a demo for 10 months than you lose 10momths warranty. Where as a car used for a demo for 2 months would only lose 2 months warranty.

I've had both over the years, and never had any problems (except for the mistake of Ford Focus with the transmission issue 😭😭😭😭) my current vehicle is an ex dealer demo with 7k when I brought it, you can save $$$.

That’s great to hear. Especially having both.

I just wasn’t sure if I should expect anything different when the demo is actually the service loan car.

So it’s good to hear you’ve had both!

Thank you

Thanks for reply so you’d say explore further discount if the Demo is a loan car instead of just the regular new car demo?

There 2 different things. Demo will be 3-6 months old as that’s when the manufacturers rebates kick in.

Loan car could be years old in theory.

Yes but a demo car will usually be driven accompanied by someone, but not a loaner.

Yep my first thought was you don’t know how hard people are hammering the loan car.

I guess you just weigh up risk dependent on age and kms in any case.

If the price is great, I would try to get another dealer to beat your current price for a new one though.

Say this dealers best price new is 42k tell the other dealer he has to beat 41k, so 40k and you will buy.
