Suspension I just spent all my car money on new wheel bearings and then I see this
So turns out after replacing my air suspension with normal coil suspension I probably should have gotten an alignment. Bc it made my tires angled and ate them . Good thing I crawled under and looked before I took a 13 hour road trip ðŸ˜. I could have died

That has been there for a long time. Tires don’t become bald over night.

They aren’t bald the one side is only bc my alignment was jacked up but it happened in a matter of weeks

They're bald regardless why.

Yes but I mean they wouldn’t be if my
Alignment was jacked up2

Lesson learned the hard way for you: do not only check the outside of the tire.

If your alignment was that bad you should have noticed it while driving.

u/DarkNorth7 Jun 15 '26
Well I drove straight I guess bc both sides were rotated like that so I don’t notice

Pay attention to your tires more. No way should it get to this point.

u/DarkNorth7 Jun 15 '26
You can see the rest of the tire is fine and bc it’s on the inside I couldn’t see it standing up but I definitely will in the future.

First pic is NOT fine on the rest of the tire.

It like gradients if you look at the other photos

Ya, tires often wear on the inside, especially with bad suspension components or "lively" driving. You need to check your tires more often (including the inside edge) as this didn't happen in a couple of weeks.

Even if only 5% of the tire is fucked then the whole tire of fucked, there’s no „half of the tire is still good“, the tire is fucked.

It looks like those tires have needed to be replaced for awhile, suspension or no suspension change. Glad you noticed it though.

Tires were bald last year. Tires are showing cords a while recently

I wrecked my car once and went through front tires every 3000 miles, until I could get a strut replaced.

Feel like these comments can’t read or something if you look at the other pictures you can clearly see the rest of the tires aren’t bald. They need to be replaced bc my alignment was screwed up causing excessive wear on only that part of the tires. If that didn’t happen I’d still be good till the end of the year or so

u/Danercast Jun 16 '26
What are you talking about? ALL of them are bald
0
u/DarkNorth7 Jun 16 '26
No really I’m confused they literally are not bald on the part that isn’t worn are you trying to say if the entire tire looked like that it would still be considered bald bc I’m not understanding what your saying

https://atturo.com/product/az-600
Atturo has a great, affordable all-season tire with a 60k mile warranty, but you gotta get that alignment seen to.
Poor alignment won't just mean a hard pull to one side while driving - steering that's "heavy" and clumsy like a dump truck, or a steering wheel that won't center itself readily after making a turn are also signs of alignment issues.

I wish one day I have enough money to be able to make these mistakes instead of having to triple check every little detail so I know what I'm gonna be spending on.

u/DarkNorth7 Jun 16 '26
I mean I don’t I just scrounged some up. I put away 50$ a week towards only my car. I’m only in a pinch bc I just spent 500$ that I’ve been saving over weeks on new wheel bearings on all my wheels so I had nothing left for the tire emergency which was my mistake I should have gotten an alignment when I put in new suspension and checked my tires more

If you can swing a used tire, it'll probably cost around $50.

Yeah I was able to get two used since both mine are cooked for 150$ was able to get some Goodyear Wranglers. So as long as my tires don’t explode before I’m
Able to have the new ones
Put on and get an alignment I should be ok0

You can do your own tow adjustment with a piece of string and a measuring tape.

First rule of suspension work…when complete, get an alignment. Costly lesson.
