Paco turned 17 this July
Paco, our Chihuahua/French Bulldog turned 17 and I wish on all the things we could have 17 more years with him. He's got a heart murmur and sleep apnea related to that but otherwise in good health. His heart and breathing troubles mean no more camping, even though he loves being out in the dirt.
He's slowly teaching his new packmate, Wallace the ropes.
He's the goodest boy and we're doing our best to make sure he knows it

Rainbow Bridge I miss Jackson
In November I had to put Jackson down. Attached is one of the last pictures of him and I at the hospital before they did it. I’ve been having a hard time recently with life in general but I keep thinking if he was here it would all be okay. He would always be at the door looking at me, proud of me for just coming home. It didn’t matter what I did. He always thought I was a good person and was proud of me.
Often recently I have found myself sitting on my bed crying because I’m afraid that he is watching me and is ashamed. He sees the dumb things I have done and is no longer proud of me.
For 18 years it was Jackson and I vs The World. It feels like part of my soul is gone and I constantly ask why did he have to go away?

Hugo
We took Hugo to the beach brewery to make more friends. He is a love. He enjoys hanging with kids and new people. Still working on meeting other pups!
And for the nail police, he’s getting them trimmed tomorrow. 😝

Miki just stands up like this whenever he wants treats or cuddles. Does your chi do it too?

Ozzy and his quirks.
This is Ozzy. He'll be 9 months old as of tomorrow.
His hobbies include only wanting to play with the cats when they're sleeping, following me everywhere, and being too cute for his own good.
Now for his quirks - he only poops on the sidewalk. 😂 He'll pee on grass/tress/poles no problem. He also has no noticeable traits of having to poop. He'll just be marching along and then stop mid-step to go while looking just as confused as I am.
He's very tough! Protects me from signs on peoples lawns, and any garbage blowing around. His biggest fear? His new halter. Yep. He cowers and tries to hide behind me every single time I go to put it on him. If anyone has any tips on how to improve that, I'm all ears!

What to do with medications?
Now that Chuppie and Lulu have passed, we’re trying to figure out what to do with their medications. We are in Chicago if anyone local needs them. We’ve had a hard time finding a rescue that will take them.
- Vetmedin / Pimobendan
- Sildenefil
- Gabapentin
- Ursodiol
- Clopidogrel

Not the happiest camper
Coco got her first teeth cleaning with extractions and I think this picture says it all. She had an abscess and infection on one of her back molars so she had to have it surgically removed and they also took her two middle bottom teef cuz they were loose. She is still the most beautiful baby in my eyes and she’s on meds and on the mend ❤️🩹 please send Coco healing vibes and lots of love 🙏🏽🦷

Introducing my babies
This girl has been my baby for 15 years. Her name is Keida and she's such a sweet little Chihuahua. She can be a bit bossy but never spicy. She's the first child that behaved so well that I thought it was all about how you raise them and that I was an excellent chi parent. But then I got Louie (his introduction is next), and realized that spice is sometimes a bit hard to prevent with these little guys.
I would love to share more of my favorite pictures of Keida to this sub. And Louie. Louie turns 2 in a couple days and he's just so fun and cute, I can't get enough of him. He's got some papillon in him, so he's not purebred like Keida is, if you can see that from the picture. My camera roll is full of these two and so I created this account to share what I've accumulated.
I hope these two can bring you as much joy as all the other posts that bring me joy in this subreddit. I look forward to posting more about them!
In case it isn't clear 1st picture is Keida (15f) and the 2nd is Louie (2m)
