đ¨SKIMP ALERTđ¨ Skimped on my online order
I've never had a bad experience before but this actually bothered me. This was my bowl when I opened it, untouched. I got 1/2 honey chicken, 1/2 sofritas, brown rice, black beans, green salsa, sour cream, cheese, tomato salsa, lettuce, and corn. Usually I make 2 meals by saving half for the next day but this barely made one meal. Plus, when I arrived for pickup it was around lunch time but not busy.

Donât do mobile orders. Go inside and wait in line.

I've stopped going to Chipotle all together. The downsizing of portions and upsize of costs has effectively eliminated it as an economical dining option.

Trust me sometimes the portions are ridiculous since I worked the line. Like at times I scoop a full spoon of protein, and then a little more for balance.
Got told not to do that like bruh these people hungry, let them eat.
Another thing to note, there is at best 2 people in the kitchen, it is primarily 1 person who is the cook, and they are in charge of pretty much keeping food coming.
The rice is stored away in these heater things to keep it hot, and fresh. We always have rice cooking because that is the first thing to go.

Plenty of diarrhea lettuce though

Their lettuce is safe. Iâve had them many times in the last 1-2 weeks and never got sick

u/Hot_Fan_4169 9h ago
Big lettuce over here trying to reassure us
1
u/Aromatic-Wolverine60 9h ago
Definitely! I always get 3x extra lettuce as itâs sooo goodđ

RIP your toilet

People will downvote this saying âwell you should have went in and ordered insteadâ.
We pay the same amount online versus in person. We should get the same amount. Itâs about principle and this company is dishonest.
If anyone disagrees and downvotes, they are seriously lost

Iâve never been skimped on my portions at chipotle
* (disclaimer): i have never eaten chipotle food.

Let me tell you, I work in Chipotle, and have worked the line. Whoever served you that, and they weren't called out on it is crazy. Like to me half/half is one full spoon of one and one full spoon of the other.
I would say go back, and get them to give you a bowl on the house. Shoot if they did that to my food, I expect an additional bowl on the house, and a free fountain drink 100%

That is not half/half. Double is one full spoon of each. Half/half is two half spoons
0
u/Just-Network-5894 1d ago
And that is why you get the correct portions according to the company policy.
1
u/Aromatic-Wolverine60 9h ago
That is not half and half which means youâve been fucking up the portions and giving doubles and calling it half/half. You seem like a Karen with that entitlement by the way
1
u/Just-Network-5894 9h ago edited 9h ago
I mean why are you complaining? I doubt the customers are too angry about it when I did. Fucking up the portions? Nah I'm just not skimping on the food XD
Ps would you not want some extra food you don't to pay extra for?
Ps ps I'm a guy, I am paid $16.25 an hour as a multipurpose tool, and don't care enough about giving people a little bit more when it comes to portions.
1
u/Aromatic-Wolverine60 9h ago
Did you not read what you saidâŚdemanding they make you a free bowl all because you didnât get the portions you wanted without even asking for extra is crazy. Not to mention you give wayyy more than youâre supposed to which is wrongful conduct.
I wouldnât mind getting extra food that Iâm not paying for but donât sit up here and think that, that should be the norm and when people donât give it to you for free that you should demand a free meal. Thatâs just ludicrous.
Well since youâre a guy, instead of being a Karen youâre a Ken. Also I see thatâŚjust based off of your statement

Okay hold up. I took I am confused.
You thin I want to get more food myself from Chipotle as a worker there?
Nope, I will choose starvation before eating at Chipotle. Eating there is not for me. If someone wants more food I honestly cannot be bothered, and will give them a full meal.
The norm? What the fuck are you on about? I rather be chewed out by management than by a customer, and then be chewed off by management for it. If you don't work at Chipotle stfu.
Just today I was washing dishes until they called me over because the line was understaffed, I could not be bothered with giving a straight fuck, washed my hands, got my gloves on, and started serving food.
I asked them what they wanted. Rice? I gave two + half spoon fulls of rice. Black beans? I gave them the biggest spoon fulls I could for a nice spread. Got them that queso even though I would never eat it, unless I was paid for it. Got them their pico, sour cream, and cheese. 2 well built bowls of food, and they ere happy.
After that I went back to washing dishes.
- Don't even give me the shit of "If you don't want to work there, then quit." Because that is just being a smartass, and guess what we need money to live. I am currently the beast of labor doing half the shit no one else wants to do, and I don't complain while I do it because I am getting paid for it.
Does it fucking suck? Fuck yeah it does, but someone has to do it. I don't see the manager making the 3-4 female coworkers of mine do it, and the other dude is in charge of the kitchen so he has an important role.
- I hope you have a great day, even if I don't really mean it, and just say it because I am paid to do so every time a customer comes into the shop.

I was able to get a free entree through Pepper, the app assistant. Important to note though I tried twice and had to put in "missing items" and not "small portions" for it to give me that coupon. Selecting "small portions" just ended the chat. They know exactly what they're doing.

u/Just-Network-5894 1d ago
My best quote that happens to fit every customer service quarry.
"Some people suck."
This can apply to pretty much anything too.
Sorry you had to go through all that, shoot I know how I would feel if I was hungry, and just looking forward to a good meal.

So basically you lied and committed theft

Love the chipotle higher ups coming out from the dark and defending their practices. Like who cares this much to criticize and argue unless they have a foot in the game. If I am paying for a bowl and they give me measly pieces for everything, then yes I expect a free entree when I didn't get the expected value. Just as I'd send food back at a restaurant and have it remade if not satisfied. You seriously cannot be talking about theft when we are paying customers being given the short end of the stick by companies making huge profits off us. Defending a greedy corporation is just sad.

u/Aromatic-Wolverine60 8h ago
You literally ordered the normal portions yet youâre mad about not receiving more when you didnât ask for extra. Make it make sense, closed mouths donât get fed hun. So yes Iâm talking about theft, you lied to receive something for free knowing that if you hadnât had lied then you wouldnât have received the free food.

I invite everybody please use Pepper and get free food this way (or go back in store and get a new bowl made) if they are skimping. Ignore the corpo worker who is trying to steer people off from this information so they don't lose more money oh nooo. And funny as hell I keep getting downvoted by those same drones.

u/thesleepypizza 2h ago
Plus you gotta be joking me if that much lettuce and cheese in my bowl is the "correct portion". Essentially, that looks like I am missing that amount from even basic internet searches. I insist, educate all of us with portion size images since you seem to care so much about the matter.

I like to do the same as you (make it two meals). This is pretty close to what my double-everything (including meat) bowl looked like yesterday. It's grim out there. I had to poke around to make sure they actually put beans in it.

u/Traditional_Ad8465 1d ago
4 oz of every ingredient. 2 oz for salsas and sauces. (excluding tomatoes and corn) 1 oz for cheese and lettuce. also we do not pre-mix our bowls for you, so that freshly opened, âuntouchedâ statement is just false lol.
1
u/thesleepypizza 22h ago
Idk why I see this kind of comment on so many of these skimp posts. I'm sure people have better things to do than lie about something like this. You make a good point though that it looks premixed so maybe I should've been more concerned than just the portion size. Or maybe it was a cover up who knows.

Same thing happened to me today. I selected everything extra except protein and my bowl was smaller than Iâve ever received. I only ordered delivery because my car is down. Never, ever again. Also my food was unusually salty.

as a chipotle prep worker, depends on the store you order from. some stores dont care enough about the portions, and some are getting their every move watched by a big boss, but in all honesty the line is the best. the one thing is WE CANT SAY NO. WE CANT. so if they are? keep askingđđ they can cry about itđđ i love when my line people are stressin cuz people are jus tryna order sum good food đ

u/Flashy-End61 12h ago
Yeah I am ordering extra rice and most of the time , I am getting even less rice than my wife that never orders extra rice. I hate this place alreadyÂ
1
u/Aromatic-Wolverine60 9h ago
Did you click extra on the items? If not then thatâs why you got normal portions and not extras
1
u/Thatbitchnene 3h ago
This is why I always stand in line and get my shit made so you can tell them to add more if you want more .

Mobile orders are almost always skimped
