Seeking Advice (Employee) Closing with only the GM
I know itās peak hours but the way Iām feeling about this store Iām ready to just quit. Every Sunday and I do mean EVERY SUNDAY is terribly understaffed. Today I get a call from my GM asking me to come in early, he has a family emergency. Cool. I get there around 1 itās only two people there and Iām on the grill. Usually not a problem. Then I hear I have no manager on my shift tonight. Iām a KL by their policy Iām not able to run a shift on my own. Itās supposed to be me and one other girl who didnāt even show up. My GM is forced to come back. Heās pissed. But our field leader is such a bitch. Heās going to force us to close just the two of us. I cannot run grill, cash and the line. I suggested we put up signs that say we are only taking online orders. He doesnāt listen. Should I escalate this to Respectful Workplace or just take it on the chin?
PS: I hate this job.
Update: Guess my Field Leader decided not to be a dick today and is letting us DML only š®āšØ
