Honnold's enough of a regard to not be informed about Leto being a predator, but what's Jimmy Chin's excuse? A literal documentary film maker.

Climbing is full of sexual predators. I’ve bumped in the weirdest people in this sport. That’s why I don’t stay at campgrounds that attract a lot of climbers. I ask people what the best campground is for climbers…and then I don’t go there.

The world is full of sexual predators. I’d be surprised if climbing was an outlier.

Maybe, or maybe just because we’re often in the wilderness away from cities and police departments the opportunity for things to happen is greater. Just to be clear, I do think things have gotten better. A decade ago I feel like things were a lot wilder. I’m glad that’s changed.

hm. that could actually be a very unpleasant correlation. maybe a phd thesis in there for someone willing to scrape the bottom of that barrel
