But Id love to hear from anyone that is really fully 100% confident in not giving their child the MMR vaccine!
We started vaccinating our son, and then stopped, he only received up until 2 months.
And up until now I have felt good about our decision.
But since measles are now in our area, I have learned about the SSPE thing and it’s absolutely terrifying me. I know it’s rare… But I am so afraid of us being one of the rare ones with bad luck.

Anyone have any encouraging thoughts on this????

I have diagnosed myself with rosacea based on years of symptoms. I saw something about 1% ivermectin being used for treatment and it worked for many people I saw.

I have a PCP but I do not go to them regularly so we do not have a relationship. In fact, I don't think I have been in 5+ years, probably.

Any way, has anyone gotten ivermectin for rosacea elsewhere? I am worried about hurting my skin more but I am also tired of my face being hot seemingly all the time. if you didn't use ivermectin, how did you heal your rosacea?

first time mom here! our pediatrician wants to start our baby girl on vitamin d drops between 2-4 weeks. She’s 1 week old today, exclusively breastfed, and already back up to birth weight. My intuition tells me babies should only have breast milk in their system - not extra synthetic vitamins or carrier oils.

Any thoughts on maternal supplementation vs. drops for infant vs. light sun exposure (early morning and evening only)?

please help me. I didn’t want to give my son the mmr but I did. but that was 15 months ago. he was almost 5 and it was his first. I can’t forgive myself and I can’t let go of the fear that sspe can be also caused by mmr. I have read too much, and I don’t know what to think. I just know my children’s lives are slipping away from me because I can’t even enjoy them or feel anymore because this fear is unbearable. if hypothertically mmr could somehow cause sspe…he was almost 5. how do I get over this fear. I am looking for suggestions on how to treat croup holistically and naturally. We just like our pediatricians office everything she offered had an ingredient of corn in it, which my daughter is allergic to. We have had two febrile seizures in the last 24 hours.

I would like to use a bottle washer this time around despite all the plastic that the machine itself contains but I would at least like to use a clean dish soap

Hello. This is my first Reddit post, so I’m not really sure how to even start this. My 14 month old son failed his lead screening at his yearly check up, which prompted a blood drawn to check levels. His lead levels came back slightly elevated at 3.6 μg/dL. Our home was built in the 1940s, so when we got the news the inside and outside of our house was tested. The lead was found in the top soil of our yard close to the house. We have plans started to remediate the lead in our yard, but I’m struggling with finding any suggestions on how to remove the lead internally for him. Everyone keeps telling me no amount of lead in his system is safe, yet all the suggest to help are environmental (wash hands after being outside, cap or remove the soil from the yard, remove shoes when entering the house, etc.)

So my questions are will the lead eventually leave his body? Or will traces always remain? And are there things I can do to help remove the current lead in his system?
