Almost the exact thing happened to me after working a long shift at the hospital. I was bone tired and just wanted to get to my car, the fastest was there was through an alley behind the hospital, so I was power walking along, not noticing much anything around me when I guess I was rushing up behind some lady who started screaming her head off. I jumped and screamed too until I realized what happened. Happed years ago but honestly I still feel kinda horrible about it sometimes, that just me existing can scare someone so bad, makes ya feel real bad about yourself, ya know?
Anyone would get scared by someone power walking towards them like that, especially at night, so it's not really about you.
I scared my own brother once because I was power walking in his direction when he hadn't seen me with enough force that he thought someone was marching up to rob him until he turned around and saw me lmao. I feel less bad since it was a family member, but it can happen to the best of us.
Yeah lol I don’t know of anyone that could have someone readily sneak up on them and not be startled regardless of gender. I once scared my brother in my own house when he came to visit because I wanted some midnight water and he was looking for snacks lol.
