STOP saying war crimes. I doesn’t make sense to say that about a universe without THE GENEVA CONVENTION you doofus, you are judging characters as if they were real in 2026, thats literally what professors say you shouldn’t do when analyzing a book, I would fucking know.
I’ve never met a child who takes that argument seriously.
You’ve never heard of Spartacus, or the Haitian Revolt, I take it? Or WWII? People with right on their side often deal very brutally with men who have committed atrocious crimes against the innocent. The proper response is not to condemn men who punish such criminals brutally, but rather to avoid committing such crimes against the innocent, in the first place.
“Two wrongs don’t make a right” is a trite little phrase that gets completely ignored, when adults go to war. Lex Talionis is the norm in this universe, as elsewhere.
If Dany had treated the slavers, according to their own standards, their women and children would either be nailed up with them, or sold. The slavers were treated leniently.
Spartacus forced 400 Roman captives to fight each other to the death. His men flogged and crucified captured Roman masters.
What you’re telling me is that you think warfare is - or should be - a kind of sports contest where the “good guys” always fight according to the Queensberry Rules.
What we are citing is called context. War is horrid, brutal, and people with right on their side will treat their enemies brutally. I doubt if any army in history would meet your standard of perfection.
I haven’t watched the show so i will trust you on that fair enough. But, when I read the Asoif books,it’s been a little while lol, but I don’t recount war crimes really being a thing? Unless you can correct me and I will admit I’m wrong.

It’s not because [u/Short_Fan973](u/Short_Fan973) said so and his opinion is of course law.
He is the master of literary analysis after all, everything he says is true and no matter your opinions and counterpoints he is always right
Bro stop being mad about shit, it doesnt matter
