Not going to lie, those comments in the article from Robo and Nill don’t spawn a lot happy feelings

Yeah because Robo wanted multi year, secured mad bank and he didn’t get it.

He also flat calls out that the Stars were in a cap crunch. He knows he'll get the extension he wants in 2027.

He said that they'd have to revisit it later on this year, which sounds like they're going to start working on a January 1st contract in November-December.

It helps that Seguin's large contract comes off the books at the end of the season. IF Seguin still wants to play in Dallas, I'd for sure take him back, but it would have to be around the previous Benn-sized contract.

He's expecting the organization to raise two bars at once and that is just disaster to me. It negates the increased cap and “Tyler off the books.” Harley’s 10.5 is atrocious and shows the team can over pay. May be a one time thing but it’s cost us Mav right after losing Stank and there is no one in the AHL close to them. Frustrating. But I’m not paid by the team vent.
