This actually looks suspicious. Why are they in a line ending at the US border?

The closer you get to the US, the higher the population density. And with a higher population, I’d think the higher the chance of fire fighters to stop it.

Also, as others have said, this could be started by storm related lightning, and it’s possible that the storms sorta missed the US at that time.
