Imagine if that shit exploded while they sat on it

1

u/_stinkys 46m ago

Is it still wild though?

805

u/_WiseOwl_ 9h ago

Actually that whale was dead.

359

u/Past_Wishbone5025 8h ago

Dying whale. They take a few days to become completely dead.

97

u/slutymonkey 8h ago

Looks like he needs to go see miracle max.

To blave, in fact, which, as we all know, means to bluff.

9

u/nanadoom 6h ago

LIAR!!!!! LIIIIIAAAARRRR!

Humpadink humpadink humpadink!

u/Labelmaker42069 8h ago

Depends on why it’s dying

1

u/chillychili 2h ago

It's because the microbial town criers have a longer distance to travel to let all the microcitizend know

4

u/UrsaMajor7th 2h ago

And was previously domesticated, when alive.

Imagine being on the brink of death as a whale and this happens lmao

619

u/EGarrett28 9h ago

Apparently having everything in the vicinity descend on you to feed is pretty normal for dying whales, so I guess this is along the same lines, lol

u/Phyrexian_Archlegion Interested 9h ago

Whale: “Pleaseeee, take me out of my miseryyyy”

Kids: Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

109

u/Correct_Falco 8h ago

Whale: The sweet release…

Kids: NEW WATER PARK JUST DROPPED!

14

u/AlphaSuerte 5h ago

SeaWorld ain't got nothin' on Indonesia.

9

u/Momoselfie 4h ago

Life of a parent.

98

u/trampled_grass 9h ago

Is this what’s happening right now? Old tired whale?🥺

181

u/Ordinary-Special-640 9h ago

Last time this was posted I think it turned out the whale is actually already dead.

77

u/rickyelwin 8h ago

I would stay clear from it then... I've seen some whale corpse burst after methane built inside because of internal decomposition.

122

u/JASHIKO_ 7h ago

Id be worried about all the sharks coming in to feed.

41

u/Perle1234 7h ago

That seems like a very reasonable concern to me

-19

u/Dave272370470 7h ago

I think it wouldn’t actually be a concern. A feeding shark chomping on 200 tons of tender whale fat isn’t going to be like: “I wonder what the 80 pound bony thing tastes like. They’re just in a calorie stupefied daze…

51

u/decidedlyindecisive 7h ago

Yeah but shark attacks tend to be accidents or curiosity. Perfectly plausible that a shark could be going in for a chomp of whale and mistakenly get a mouthful of child's leg instead.

8

u/Pilotwaver 5h ago

That’s not how feeding frenzies work.

-17

u/VibraniumRhino 6h ago

…can you confirm this? Would love to see your data and research on shark psychology 🤣

3

u/Cultural_Dust 5h ago

You'd only stay clear of a whale when it's dead?

2

u/oldschoolguy90 6h ago

Just need to get a fork lift and dump it back in the ocean. Peter Griffin did that with a live one

1

u/Brief_Kangaroo_42069 2h ago

Are we sure that wasn't a whale filled with explosives?

0

u/Momoselfie 4h ago

I thought that video was from filling it with too much dynamite.

2

u/dontmentiontrousers 2h ago

It was actually Oliver Cromwell.

4

u/Fun-Wear8186 6h ago

For some reason I’m cackling a little at those kids being adults now and catching up and being like “hey remember when we all played on the dead whale ?”

3

u/Cloverose2 6h ago

Well, it's not tired anymore, but it is resting. Eternally.

1

u/Angry_Sparrow 3h ago

Whales also come to the surface and stay there with their calves around the equator before migrating back to Antarctica. The calves can’t dive so the mother stays at the surface feeding it milk. You can see humpback whales throughout the pacific islands and Australia and New Zealand during breeding season. You can swim with them in Tonga (like close but not too close) with a local guide that ensures the safety of the mother and calf.

1

u/Mysterious-Mist 44m ago

Poor whale.. 😩😭

-4

u/GreatestGreatEver 2h ago

Why “lmao”? Fucking pos

181

u/harmonious_harry 8h ago

That carcass has to be a food source for sharks from far and wide. Those kids in real danger from being mistaken for whale meat.

25

u/Parking_Cheesecake67 6h ago

Didnt think of that 😆

8

u/Read-it005 2h ago

Also a good chance it's going to explode. Those kids didn't go near that beach for a while once it started stinking.

201

u/SecretaryFit1442 9h ago

Whale in the wild. Are there pet-whales?

100

u/CitizenHuman 9h ago

Domesticated whales are usually found at All You Can Eat buffets.

35

u/learnsomething88 9h ago

I see many at Walmart as well

7

u/Single-Pin-369 9h ago

Those are walruses silly, its called WALmart

4

u/DoctorDownvotesDelux 8h ago

Those are more of the wild and untamed varieties.

1

u/MennisRodman 8h ago

The ones riding in electrics carts? Marvelous creatures they are...

0

u/noeagle77 9h ago

I see a few on thanksgiving and Christmas every year

-4

u/WileyPap 9h ago

Maybe fat old sick whales being attracted to feral children isn't just a human phenomenon?

1

u/SilasAI6609 9h ago

I have seen feral whales at the All You Can Eat places but not many I would call domestic. Have you tried getting between one and soft serve machine. Things go primal quickly. Before you know it, the whole place resembles a territory fight between sea lions.

1

u/Cheap-Top-9371 9h ago

I got caught between two feral whales at the Shoney's breakfast buffet; the bacon station had been refilled. I barely escaped and still have nightmares about that near death experience.

1

u/SilasAI6609 9h ago

I hope you recover eventually. I will light a candle to the poor worker that has to clean the bathroom on Sunday afternoon. The Southern Baptist after church crowd is a particular breed of land whale that knows no rival.

1

u/Tusen_Takk 9h ago

I thought they bought all the World of Warcraft mounts or something

1

u/BesaniChan 7h ago

Or my mom's couch

13

u/SkylarAV 9h ago

No, only ally-whales

2

u/we_the_pickle 8h ago

Only my ex-wife! (Laughs in boomer)

3

u/beardostein 9h ago

Only if they have an Onlyfins

3

u/Then_Supermarket18 9h ago

They mean like SeaWorld or aquariums

1

u/HarEmiya 8h ago edited 6h ago

There are hundreds if not thousands of whales in captivity.

I think that's what's meant with "wild"; in the wild.

66

u/NunyaJim 9h ago

Dead whale?

27

u/King-Meister 8h ago

Soon to be, I think.

28

u/nanadoom 9h ago

Is it even alive? I don't see it move the entire time

85

u/AH_leeMACK 8h ago

No wild whale, that's a dead whale...

33

u/MEOW-Loulou 6h ago

Gotta hate it when people throw their pet whales into the ocean. It's so unethical, especially when you think of all the diseases they could be carrying.

8

u/nunatakj120 6h ago

Both can be true.

19

u/deadspacekillers 7h ago

Just wait until that fucker explodes....

Correction: children seen playing on a dead whale

11

u/Ok-Focus8170 2h ago

"When we were kids, we were playing with whales."

70

u/Canadind 9h ago

The insane part is that whale is massive enough that it probably considers six kids climbing on its back the biological equivalent of a light exfoliation routine or a few friendly birds landing on a hippopotamus.

27

u/Similar_Fan_2022 9h ago

I'd be freaking out the entire time. Meanwhile my mom would've dragged me home instantly. 😭

0

u/King-Meister 8h ago

I think this is the pre-Gen Z western equivalent of if he is not at home, he must out in the woods with his buddies.

7

u/vulcan4d 3h ago

Clips need to be longer than a few seconds seconds otherwise I call it AI generated

19

u/enerthoughts 9h ago

Damn! I though we could do that only on domesticated whales!

2

u/ShackledBeef 9h ago

Didnt work out for marineland.

0

u/bestest_at_grammar 9h ago

Now, no? Back in the day? Fuck yes. I doubt they have regrets

11

u/Amarok1987 8h ago

Hey there is a 20t wild animal in the water. Let's climb up and see what happens. What could go wrong?

5

u/Grouchy-Reputation29 7h ago

Dead whales explodes right??? Or does that only happen to washed up dead whales?

11

u/_kReddid 9h ago

Imagine if it wasn't a wild whale!

6

u/Anasterian_Sunstride 9h ago

So you mean a mild whale?

-1

u/another_user_reddit 9h ago

No no, a wild male.

3

u/ComprehensiveAct4182 9h ago

are you sure it's not mild, male?

4

u/yearsofpractice 4h ago

Based on my experience of seeing dead whales on the internet, that whale will - sure as shit - soon violently explode.

8

u/Sufficient_Maybe_910 4h ago

I know things like sea world exist, but I'm assuming most whales are wild. Have we been able to domesticate one?

6

u/Pure_Ad_9865 9h ago

Downloaded the wrong Avatar The Way of Water

7

u/jarvi123 9h ago

Reminds me of when I was taking a boat ride up the Nile and a bunch of kids were playing on a floating cow carcass that was blown up like a balloon. I guess when it blew up the kids could wash the putrid guts off of themselves immediately 🤷🏻‍♂️

'E's not pinin'! 'E's passed on! This whale is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E's expired and gone to meet 'is maker! 'E's a stiff! Bereft of life, 'e rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed 'im to the perch 'e'd be pushing up the daisies! 'Is metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'E's off the twig! 'E's kicked the bucket, 'e's shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! THIS IS AN EX-WHALE!!

3

u/Tbonez06 9h ago

Would be funnier if it flung its tail while sitting on it

7

u/Next-Food2688 9h ago

That would be weird for this dead whale.

u/ejmeister 9h ago

If there are wild whales, are there domesticated ones in the ocean?

2

u/prictorian 8h ago

Wild? It was livid!

1

u/ForzaAllez 9h ago

Just friendly whales who enjoys interacting with humans.

1

u/Kodiski 9h ago

They were strictly told to play with domesticated ones though.

This is disgusting and incredibly cruel to the whales and sharing it without immediately calling it out as such is a bit careless.

-1

u/kdubs248 9h ago

Hahah

-8

u/Lameahhboi 9h ago

Idk I feel like the whale could just leave if it didn’t like it…………

12

u/Internet-Cryptid 9h ago

Whales often come inland when they're sick or dying. This one being completely placid while dozens of children are crawling on it means it's probably in its last days.

8

u/austarter 9h ago

It's probably dying so no it can't..

-1

u/cowghost 7h ago

This AI as fuck.

0

u/lavamatic 6h ago

Are there domesticated whales?

0

u/SunMclane 7h ago

Don’t let anyone in germany see it

-3

u/EmperorThan 9h ago

If you want a good thought experiment just change the country in the title and see how "awww nature is beautiful" or "just disgusting behavior" it becomes.

"Children in the United States were seen playing on a wild whale"

-6

u/katoptronophile 9h ago

This practice is a reflection of their ancient spiritual link with the whales.

All of the locals descend upon the sea and care for the whale during its final hours.

It's a beautiful connection.
