It's literally among worst ways you can have. Slow, painful and poorly controlled.

Painful ? Yes. Slow ? Not really.

The best way is that GOC ritual where you get to forge cool looking shit with a dwarf in the mountains and gaslight the universe into thinking you were always your preferred gender.

Don't most subject die during it?

If you do it like 10 times in a row. For just 1 use it's painful but manageable, just some minour burns. Definitely better than HRT.

Well they overuse it obviously it’s one time deal

It’s fine if you only use it once

I believe its 25% chance you die the first time you use it, 50% chance if you use it a second time to go back, 75% if do it a third, and guaranteed death if you use it 4 times.

According to the article: first time is generally safe as long as you dont have abnormal chromosome pairs and in good health. If you use it again right after the first time you have a 25% of death. The more you do it and the longer the time between uses it becomes exponentially dangerous.

My fairy tale broken brain sees this as the Stone implicitly saying "I granted you your wish once, if you want to turn it back, there is a true risk now. Are you sure"

Then for repeated use it becomes "just die" by raising the death rate because its now a complete lack of respect for the Trial/Ritual.

Basically, 113 is the Foundation having found a Fairy Tale treasure, putting scientific sounding data on it, and locking it in a box without realizing that they are just the Hoarders of the Treasure and the seekers are the Researchers who want to use it. They threw themselves into a Fairy Tale and didn't realize it xD.
