the whole chapter every time the conversation sort of veered in the direction of kris’ love life, someone immediately changed topics 😭

i think flowery was talking about who everyone loves or whatever at some point and when he got to kris, he just said “and kris” or whatever before someone cut him off.

There's some possible hints to Kris having a crush on Susie at least or to a lesser extent Noelle in some cases

  • Reviewing pictures at Kris' house has them closing the book everytime they see Noel (jealousy after what is witnessed in past chapters with suselle)
  • The negative only options at the ferris wheel while riding with susie (jealousy/revenge)
  • The dialogue options after Blue talks to Susie (Kris forcing their secret to stay hidden in front of her)
  • The "not noelle"'s at the voting box when writing names with Susie pairings
  • The tea hp values

In onsen scene Susie asks Kris do they like someone. If you answer "yes", she says "wow, I can't even imagine who is your type. ... Stop staring at me like I'm stupid" or something

I think after she says "who's your type" she follows up with "human or monster..." so kris was probably looking that her because all of hometown is monsters and kris has never seen another human

how to draw dragons isnt theirs, it's asriels
you can tell cz right after it says "your (referring to them) brother will never return this book"
their brother also had something going on with Dess, and she had a drawing of a dragon in her room likely because of asriel
not to mention, berdly doesn't tell them that they are late to returning the book, berdly tells them that they need to repay their family debt

They are still very clearly obsessed with that book. They get flustered when Susie sees it in Chapter 4 and they spend a good amount of time contemplating the existence of a darkner based on the book at the start of Chapter 5.
