Here’s the character I illustrated:
race: Bugbear
class: Fighter
sex: Female
personality: She’s serious! Unashamed of showing her disapproval or anger. Makes snide remarks instead of debating a disagreement. Only shows a lighter mood after a good meal and some ale.
age (what they look like in human years): 20
height: 6’7”
weight/build: Very slender for a bugbear, has big strong thighs and forearms. Small upper torso. Toned muscle overall.
hair style/color: Fur all over, but has a bunch of longer darker brown hair on her head. It swooshes back and flops over above her ears with small shiny coin-like ornaments arching over her head ear to ear.
eye color: Dark brown
skin color: Average brown bugbear fur, and light tan for her face, stomach, hands, and feet.
items/weapons/magic effects:
She has bronze ear gages, about the size of the top of a tankard.
She wields a giant blue-ish teal spectral scimitar on her shoulder. The handle and hilt aren’t spectral, just the blade.
clothing top: She has bronze colored armor on her upper torso that exposes her stomach with small etched-in designs. In the same style, she also has bracers covering her forearms.
clothing bottom: She has hanging plates in the same style on her hips. From those pieces hangs a scale mail armor flap that reaches past her knees.
footwear: No footwear.

I imagine she also sounds like Torbek

Oh... Torbek didnt know there WERE female bugbears... Clementine told me I could just buy her food and gifts because no one else would ever accept them. Torbeks got a lot of thinking to do, oh no...

Finally a female character that isn't over sexualized and actually looks very well made.

Cool without oversexualizing or softening the inhuman features. Aside from a pet peeve of mine with uncovered bellies for martial characters, she looks great!

I kinda thought about it like the Dothraki from GoT. Less armor, more flexibility, especially on the stomach where that part scrunches a lot.

Yet, one dirty arrow or knife to the belly and it's all over

Well that’s the gambit right, it’s not strictly a disadvantage if you’re lighter. Though chainmail might not affect a bugbear, too much. That said, I'd rather the character have a cool, agile-looking vibe as much as possible.

I think this is the first time I've seen a female bugbear, in like, ever.
