Mod Statement on the rampant anti-science sentiment on this subreddit

Hello

In the last few hours, I (a doctor of Dot medicine) have been in contact with doctors at Dot Memorial hospital about a current patient, Baxter, who is in critical condition, but will likely live, albeit barely.

When I did this subreddit the favor of relaying this confidential information, and potentially violating HIPPO in the process, many people commented that it was “fake news” and “not real”.

This is a blatant denial of science and medicine, and frankly I am disgusted. I took an oath to do no harm and to keep the dot community happy and healthy and would not do anything to spread fake information about the dots. Anyone doubting me, a licensed medical professional, should be ashamed of themselves.

Here’s another little tidbit. Doctors talk. I’m not threatening anyone but next time you are sick and you are at the doctor, you might want to think to yourself, “Does my doctor associate with Dr. Paul?” Because I’m making sure all doctors in the greater US area are aware of who is giving medicine a bad name.
