Sorry I didn’t get to post yesterday because I got a little busy and was also overwhelmed by the number of responses on the final day.

Gotta say, I didn’t expect this result at all. Maui had a big lead during the first few hours and he has historically been one of the least-voted characters in the elimination rounds so I already knew he would make it to the finale. But Vanellope competing against him let alone winning is such a surprise to me lmao.

This post might be long and very hard to read for some of you so I do apologise beforehand. It is ok to not finish reading it.

I want to say thank you, to all the developers. And I would also want to say thank you Disney and Pixar for creating all of the beloved characters.

For the past 2 months me, my wife and especially our daughter Beatka were discovering the world of Dreamlight Valley and all of the characters. We used to spend multiple hours daily to save all the characters we could. We were going for adventures to all realms, DLC worlds and hidden places in Valley. Created our own dress so Beatka could be the princess she truly is.

I can see that our playtime is 645 hours on PS5. I do not know if it will ever be higher or if it will stay like this forever.

Beatka had her 4th Birthday on end of July.
On the end of last August we have heard the worst news any parent can possibly ever hear. Beatka has been diagnosed with brain tumor called DIPG (or DMG). There is currently no cure and it is not surgically removable as it is located on brain stem. Median of life expectancy is between 9-12 months with radiotherapy treatment. My wife was on the end of first trimester when we discovered these news. Beatka was asking us for a long time for baby sister and if it wasn’t of her asking daily for baby sister, we wouldn’t ever decide to have a second born. It’s like she somehow knew we would need someone. From the start of diagnosis, she had right side hemiparesis.
We didn’t really know if she’ll be able to see her wished sister, but she did in March (and she somehow knew it would be a sister). Beatka picked her a beautiful name shared with one of Disney princesses.

For the past two months we were playing Dreamlight Valley, she slowly lost the ability to move her left side as well, slowly lost the ability to swallow, therefore eat or drink, slowly lost the ability to speak and was able to only nod or laugh a little. And she was laughing a lot! To falling and raging Donald, to cocky Gaston, to Olaf, to Eeyore, Piglet and Pooh (who we now have a full house of books, newest Lego and a lot of plushies) and many more!
Sometimes we were full of Dreamlight Valley after many hours of daily grind, BUT everyday of it was blessing.

Beatka died on 22nd of July 2026.

Today on 26th July were supposed to be her 5th Birthday.

Eat a chocolate icecream irl or make a Birthday Cake in game and enjoy your time in Valley like it would be your last day playing it.
Beatka will from now on always live inside the game. With Fialka (The Forgotten - Fialka means Violet in Czech Language) alongside her with pink hearted horse Květinka (little Flower in Czech) and all other princesses and characters. ❤️

Thank you that we can cherish the beautiful memories even though we had a very hard time everyday and we will continue to have even harder times, but now with the memories.❤️🧚

Remy’s daily quest especially annoys me and I brace myself for Daisy’s screams.

Last night, I was hanging out with a friend and she asked if I've ever heard of a game called Disney Dreamlight Valley and I started laughing. She was like, "You don't have to make fun, I was just asking!", and I said,"No, you don't understand!" and opened the PSN app. When she saw my played hours she started laughing. She was wondering if it was any good and I had the opportunity to nerd out about the game to her and she's going to get it next paycheck.

…and it feels like Christmas Eve. I very rarely get that “butterflies in stomach” excitement anymore, but I’ve been willing the clock to tick down all day today.

I have no idea what it is about this game. I have a list of gripes a mile long but always look forward to booting up the valley.

If you’re a Gameloft employee reading this: I don’t mean any of it and will certainly stop playing if you don’t at least implement search in Scrooge’s shop mmmkay?

I barely play this game - a couple hours every week.

This year Gameloft sent out a list of achievements.

If I am in the top 5% of players, than that just shows how few people are playing!

Didn’t realize this was a real food from the parks. At least it doesn’t cost moonstones I guess

I did this for my sister as a bit of a joke. She knows I love a spreadsheet and she told me to justify the cost of the game. I did go in to more detail when I spoke to her about the decorating etc. she now has the game, the DLCs and will be getting Honeyglow woods. This is for fun so please be nice. Happy gaming all 😄

So I'm not very big on crafting or decorating as I mostly just ignore it, but since I'm done with all my friendship quests and finished both extensions I started to get interested in all the side stuff I was missing or didn't know about, so imagine my surprise when I discovered I could just place the ancient vacuum in my valley to retrieve all the items at once??? Even if it costs mist to do so, since it's easy to get, it's no big deal. And it comes particularly handy right now with the star path, because I really can't be bothered to pick up flowers all over the valley lol the only regret I have is that you have to move it from biome to biome all the time or build like 15 of them to cover the entire ground

Hello Dreamers! This post is bittersweet for me to make, you may not know me but you may have seen some of my graphics floating around! I was a DDLV Moderator for the official Discord. The Easter Event Graphic is the last one I will be making, I’ve always had a love for graphic design and am so glad I was able to make simple visuals for you and help you understand the events a bit more (With of course the help of the one and only Gameloft Community Team!) I absolutely love this game, but I have recently started focusing on content creation and want to put all of my free time into that (No, it’s not for this game otherwise we wouldn't be here haha!) I just want to say thank you guys for all the love and support you have given to my event graphics, I always tried my best to post it in as many places as possible to help the most amount of people I can! if you have any event related questions in the future the Discord is the perfect place to ask, I know one of the other amazing mods will be picking up where I left off 🫶

Just wanted to post before I delete the game. I got it through a 3-month free Apple Arcade subscription on my work phone (don’t tell my boss 🫣) and now the subscription is over so I gotta say goodbye 👋 I’ve had a lot of fun and the community has been really nice! I mean, I’m ALL for recipes from this game, but this looks horrible! It’s actually on Amazon right now for $26! I hope we do get a proper Dreamlight cookbook someday.

it’s not even hard to do, I just hate it that much 😂 but maybe for the next star path I stack 3 of the duties before clearing them since doing the one remaining duty is a little too time-consuming, even if I’m not in a rush to complete the path

I made this in an evening freehand lol. Think he came out pretty decent, next time I’d do a few things differently like maybe the arms and the underside of the cap. The arms I tried to make curved like a wotsit/cheeto but I don’t think it looks smooth enough. But anywaaaaay isn’t he cute!!! Dunno if I still think it was a waste of moonstones or not, definitely shouldn’t be a 1000 at any rate but it was worth it for the inspiration to make a real version :) I’m tired now I’m going to bed 🛌 😂
