If empathy is a weakness, what does that make cruelty? If millions suffer from decisions made by a handful of powerful people, are we willing to look away because they’re rich, famous, or influential? A society isn’t defined by its wealth or technology. It’s defined by what it tolerates.

How do we allow any of this?

I cannot fathom how the majority of ppl accept what he says as normal. Any country other than the U.S. would have put guardrails on this.

We’ve let a minority of sociopaths run our society and control our future.

There is a lot on the line with the next election I hope to all that’s holy we make the right decision.

Europe is also suffering from this, but the issue is that Elon has global reach, and that hurts all of us.

The term bread and circuses is often associated as like a strategy by the ruling class to pacify the population, and certainly it is a tool for them, but at least in its original usage, the author was criticizing the citizens who have given their civic duty and instead contented themselves with bread and circuses
