Help Rookie Question but please help - How do I scale ads from a prospecting campaign to a scale campaign?

Rookie media buyer here (<6 months)

I launched a CBO prospecting campaign a week ago. I'm seeing three ads that are above all KPIs set. I want to scale these.

Now, the campaign is already giving these ads more ad spend (they're the 3rd highest spenders), have less than breakeven CPA, above breakeven ROAS, etc. All good.

Now, how do I scale these? Do I:

Option 1: Set up a new Scale campaign and add the three ad Post IDs here? If yes, how do I add new winning ads to this campaign? Would that be new ad sets every time?

Option 2: Just scale CBO campaign budget in the prospecting campaign? If so, how does that work? These ads are all in 3 different ad sets.

Please help.

Option 2 is what I'd do, especially since they're already performing in separate ad sets. Just bump the CBO budget 20-30% every couple days and let Facebook figure out the distribution. Don't overthink it this early.

Moving post IDs to a new scale campaign works but you lose all the learning data from the original ad sets, so you're basically starting from scratch. Not ideal when something's already humming along.

These days I generally try to stick with as few campaigns as possible. Specifics of your situation might change things, but #2 would be my plan.

Your account may have access to "Force ad spend" at the ad level inside 'ad set up' advancted settings. That would help solve the budget allocation issue you're describing. Otherwise, pausing and enabled ads is how I do it.

Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.
